Put this on last night before bed as something to fall asleep to... and yeah holy shit. It's equal parts upsetting and inspiring how talented he is.
Why the fuck is the album $26 on iTunes lol The songs definitely sound mixed for separate listening instead of just ripped from the special so that's cool. Only differences I've noticed between the rips I had and the official version is that the second Jeffrey Bezos song is slightly longer, the beginning speech in All Eyes On Me is cut, and certain elements of 30 sound more cleaned up. There might be more though
Liked this, definitely didn't love it. I imagine if I had been stuck inside for the past 15 months I might've had a stronger reaction.
ive had the songs stuck in my head for 2 weeks so being online will add another 2 weeks that. astounding how good of a song writer he is
Honestly the thing I was most impressed with was how fucking good the lighting was considering…well, you know.
I can't believe he pulls off "Welcome to the Internet". For a comedian to go full Kurt Veil complete with rapid tempo changes? Yeah, dude's gonna win a Tony or 8 eventually.
Can’t remember the last time a single work has been so thoroughly pervasive and wrapped me up like this has. If I’m not watching or listening to it, I find myself thinking of it, singing it, referencing it, etc. “You’re not gonna slow it, heaven knows you tried Got it? Good, now get inside.” is something I feel with my whole body each and every time
"Total disassociation, fully out your mind Googling "derealization," hating what you find That unapparent summer air in early fall The quiet comprehending of the ending of it all" There hasn't been a day since I first watched the special that I haven't thought about that verse
