I agree with your friend - movie looks awesome. I have a major soft spot for the movie Star Kid so this is up my alley

 

Idk, I’m curious about this one. Some stuff in marketing seems fun, and the bits that feel cheap still kinda work for its favor (because it reminds me of Power Rangers or Ultraman). Granted, there were things that interested me about Black Adam in the lead-up and I ended up opting out of that one, lol.

Still think they should’ve pushed this one back to next year. They already had Shazam!, Flash, and Aquaman scheduled for this year, and only Joker for next year. Especially now that the Flash crashed & burned and the actors are on strike… dunno what miracle of factors would make it succeed.

Sitting at 88% in Rotten Tomatoes currently. Much higher than I anticipated and Gunn seems to have confirmed Jaime is a part of the DCU going forward to I guess this is the first official DCU film?

I think this looks decent enough to see as part of my AMC stubs deal. It may not innovate story wise, but it looks fun and like a solid cast with some chemistry.

 

Going to try to see this at a cheap theater near me

 

Probably gonna see this for discount Tuesday next week.

 

I’m planning to go to a 2pm screening. Kids are already back in school here so it should be pretty quiet.

This was really great

 

This movie made me so happy. The Latino references and sayings. I was dying at so many of the jokes. I really hope it's successful. I need more of this super hero and cast.

 

This isn’t terrible by any means, just very by the numbers. Good representation but felt very Power Rangers in spots.
