This album is nuts. In a good way.

Best to You is an incredible song.

 

Well this is fucking spectacular. Def one of the best of the year.

Best description I can come up with:

This sounds like him alone in his room during a house party in 1985 singing to himself, but occasionally someone opens the door to check on him and the jams from the party drift in.

 

FYI Kelsey Lu, who provides vocals on Chance, has a new EP coming out on Friday.

 

yeah this is wonderful, parts reminded me of Prince which is always a good thing

 

I wanted to like this more than I did. Feels very repetitive at times and despite really enjoying what was going on sonically at first but found myself worn out on it by album's end.

Great stuff here thematically however just wish I found the sonic side as substantive.

Who knows this could all change in a few more listens, definitely not giving up on this yet, these are just some rough first thoughts.

 

With everything that's been going on, this album's importance only grows.

 

First listen: that drop in Best to You is unfffff

 

This has very quickly shots its way up to one of my favorite this year. It's basically all I listen to when I'm out of the house with my headphones on.

Nelly Furtado sound like fka Twigs on this. I want Dev to shape her next album.

I haven't checked him out yet but I know a bunch of you love him. I may try to split it and watch half of both idk idk!

He came out and played for a song during Carly's p4k set. It ruled.

was such a good set that unfortunately had some sound issues. That stage was a mess from a technical standpoint for much of the weekend.

 

He announced a tiny tour. Can't believe it is coming to Toronto! Did not think I would see him, especially not so soon. Hoping he brings one of the ladies from the album as support. Empress Of or Kelsey Lu would be amazing.
