what a great album. feels like i'll need to listen to it a bunch of times to really unpack. after my first listen though, it was awesome.

This is so, so amazing

 

i've heard cupid deluxe a few times, but never coastal grooves so i'm listening to that right now. i really like it. i think i'll go back and listen to cupid again after this because it's been awhile.

 

This album only gets better each listen.

 

Got introduced to his music after learning a family member works on his videos. Cupid Deluxe is fantastic, and the new song gave me chills. His music reminds me of a more uplifting and funk/disco-inspired Massive Attack in some ways. You get a similar vibe as some of the early MA albums, but it's less chilly and more warm IMO.

Edit: Began streaming Freetown Sound. Holy fuck.

Nothing I'd rather listen to right now. Have been unable to listen to much else since the release

 

Wow, this is far and away his best album. Blowing me away after not liking the last two.

 

I love both of the previous releases. This feels like such a natural progression though find it odd that people didn't like the first two but enjoy this. Anyone care to share their opinions

 

For me it's simply that the first two albums bore me, not much more than that. I don't find them engaging aside from a few songs, and as albums they just blend like one long song. This one is super diverse, has a ton going on, and keeps my interest the entire way

 

I just finished listening to this album while I was chilling in my backyard and it's just so great.

It was super calming.

 

Gonna spend some time with this tomorrow, Dev is phenomenal.

 

Yep, definitely AOTY for me so far.

 

The last minute of Chance is fucking magical

 

about to finish cupid deluxe for the first time (love it a lot), then i'll be onto freetown sound after. really glad i decided to listen to his music.

 

OK so, this album is amazing i don't even know what to say really. Favorites are "Hands Up!" and "Better Than Me"

man i would really really love for wynter gordon to sing on one of his songs because she would be perfect for it. i almost thought it was her on "Always let U Down" on Cupid Deluxe
