An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

I'm sorry but this song has some of the worst lyrics I've ever heard lol

at least they're using real drums again!

I could have done without the licking sound effect. Otherwise decent.

    I dig it.

Always down for new Bloc Party. I feel like I was one of the few that dug Hymns but maybe I'm wrong.

  8. This is miles better than Hymns. Reminds me more of Four due to its heaviness which is pleasing to my ears.

I loved HYMNS and still do, even if several sings could have been swapped out for the bonus tracks easily.

Unfortunately, I think this song really stinks. I’ll always listen to new Bloc Party though.

new song called The Girls Are Fighting tomorrow, it's got some swagger to it. also includes the most 'Russell doing Russell things' solo I've heard from him in years.

    It’s… fine? I think?

This feels half baked and seriously - is this really the best Bloc Party can put out after 6 years?

impressively literal video here with Kele as a boxing coach which is something I didn't know I needed in my life lol

I'll always love this band but it really feels like they're running on fumes

writing about this - got it in Monday, it really does seem like the album they've been wanting to make for the last decade. No disrespect to Four but it was made when the band was unravelling behind the scenes and while I can certainly defend HYMNS, it seemed transitional (Kele and Russell wrote most of it).
