So I tried playing some hearthstone today after having not played since 2015... uhh power creep is a joke in this.
@lightning13 hey sorry I didn't see your message on HS! I would definitely recommend crafting Awaken the Makers because I feel its going to be a staple for the next 2 years
no worries, i had to go but thanks!! i appreciate that. you have a really cool pally deck. i like seeing hearthstone refreshed, makes things more challenging and interesting. i was so used to Azure Drake...so weird not being able to play it in Standard now haha.
It's a cool deck but sadly too slow for the meta right now, probably gonna quit for a while until nerfed to rogue or mage quest come out. Really unfun to play against with zero counterplay
Both decks are strong right now because the meta hasn't settled and both decks are countered by aggression. And I think both decks are pretty fun to play as well so if you can't beat them join them. They won't be nerfed either.
Disagree that they're fun to pilot and they're definitely unfun to play against. A lot of the player base agrees seeing as there's a megathread on Reddit for The Caverns Below
The mage deck is a worse version of freeze mage which hasn't been regular in the meta for over a year and the rogue deck is no faster at killing you than pirate warrior or aggro shaman only it's even easier to beat because they don't play a board to contest. Reddit is just overreacting as usual, just like they all flipped out over duplicate cards from opening packs even though the rates haven't changed since this game has launched.
On the WoW side of things, 7.2 has been an absolute disaster. The first major stumble for Legion. On the HoTS side of things: Lució is incredibly fun to play
What's wrong with WoW now? I quit after killing Mythic Xavius and realizing that logging in every day to grind for AP and random legendary drops made me miserable.
mobs now scale with ilvl so the world quest content is much harder and much more time consuming a lot of the content in 7.2 is time gated so theres still a few weeks of nothing to do the new questline only took about 30 minutes or so. basically they promised the world and delivered a glass cage with 7.2
Playing new hunter quest because I like hunter and all the new cards looked really good (hint: they aren't, don't waste your dust like I did). After floundering standard, I went "oh well standard sucks lets go make a reno wild deck". (you might see where this is going, but I didn't) Play a few games with it. It isn't as shit as the standard version because casual wild is easier. But the first game I won wasn't due to quest or reno so its was probably more to just drawing well and having okay midrangey cards. anyways, finally play a game where I both draw my reno and complete my quest! I'm at 10 HP so thinking "I'll probably survive I'll quest this turn and then can drop reno next turn" (nope still didn't see where this is going yet) Complete the quest. Raptors swarm into my deck. Still like "aww yeah Reno time". Only when it becomes my turn again do I realize the error of my ways. At least I can pull the quest, the 1 drop drawer, the 1 drop elemental and maybe a few more one drops and have a decent midrange reno hunter. And then go make a different wild quest deck without Reno.
Hunter got some great cards, but the quest is definitely not one of them. The warrior quest is by far the best. Mage, rogue, and shaman are okay. The rest either don't fit the meta or just suck.
