Yes it is.

Extremely weak event for Diablo fans. Looks like we're redoing the same content over and over again for another year.

 

Varian and Rag are awesome, tried them both out. Varian will probably be a new main.

You can really tell they don't see Diablo as a main franchise anymore. Overwatch is bringing in the eSport money, Hearthstone does well on Twitch I think and WoW brings in the monthly subs. There's no real place for Diablo.

Diablo 4 without any of the negative attention brought about by RMAH would do really well.

I was at the very least expecting a new expansion.

 

D3 is also what, 10 years old now? Something like that? It was made in a totally different creative space than HS, HotS, and Overwatch. They're likely working on its successor right now which will be made to fit into the same scheme they have for their other games right now.

 

One can hope, I'm just not really interested in Blizzard's other properties right now, outside of maybe another RTS.

 

D3 is only four and a half years old but its the kind of game where theres only so much you can do. and the reaper of souls expansion realistically didnt add that much. yes, the game design is supposed to be grind-y but they have to realize that shit gets old quick for 95% of the player base. people on the diablo sub reddit are saying no ones going to keep playing d3 so why are they even bothering with this little shit. i wouldnt be surprised if d3 player numbers plummet daily, anytime i pick it back up i play for like a day or two and im like ok so still just doing the same shit ive been doing for over three years now great. and im not saying i wanted d4 right NOW or even in the near future but even an announcement that its being worked on would generate some hype for the franchine. instead they're doing what sounds like a half assed remaster of diablo that's not even a permanent fixture in the game, and one new class that's behind a fricken paywall for fuck's sake and won't change the game in any significant way. the only cool thing i saw is that seasons are coming to console which all i can really say to is ITS ABOUT GOD DAMN MOTHERFUCKING TIME. why the hell did it take so long?

sorry for the rant. but as a diablo player, i thought we'd be getting something.

I've come to realize this is my favorite gaming company since they have 6 of my favorite games under their belt

 

They're who got me into computer games and the "next gen" really. All I had as a kid was Sega lol. All my friends had Playstation, N64, what not. But I had a decent computer at the time, so I got the "Blizzard Chest" with I think...Warcraft 2?/Starcraft/Diablo 1/2. I've been hooked since.

I wanna know, but at the same time kind of scared to haha, how many total hours I've put into their games. WoW, Diablo 2/3, Starcraft and now Overwatch....so many fun times.

 

i know ive got well over 200 hours in WoW, and im sure im edging towards 50 hours in overwatch. Diablo and Starcraft are the new interests and im sure ill drop a ton of hours into them, especially Diablo.

 

The only Blizzard games I've played are Hearthstone and Overwatch.

I really do want to check out Diablo 3 eventually because it looks like something I enjoy.

I also think I enjoy WoW but I'm never building a PC so I can just forget it.

 

I'm probably not far off 1000 hours of HoTS over the last 2 years.

 

i probably have 1k hours in wow over ten years

 

yeah now that im thinking about it, i probably have about 1k or a little less on WoW since ive played it for so long and with many different characters.

I can imagine myself sinking hundreds of hours into Diablo 3. Plus about 20 or so hours on HoTs, 30-40 on overwatch and i dont even know how many on Starcraft and Warcraft 3. Now that im really digging my heels in and trying to get back into HoTS and Starcraft that time will greatly expand.
