Ah dammit I didn't get a screenshot in time. Played Faceless Manipulator on my own damaged C'Thun, then played Blood Warriors. Two taunted 13/6s on the field, two 13/13s in my hand.

Just got Blade of C'Thun. This changes things. I saw it played against me, but I didn't really realize the potential of a Rogue C'Thun deck until I remembered I had Thistle Tea and Shadowstep. I may want to use the 400 dust I have saved up for a second Blade.

edit: Fiiinally got to play it like five games later. I was already winning and it cast Call of the Wild hahaha.

 

So who's subbing for Legion? I know @stillbrazy is on board. I'm thinking I'll probably re-sub for the holidays but we'll see. My backlog is huge.

 

1600 dust on my Asia Region account. What classic neutral legendary should I craft? I already have Harrison Jones, The Black Knight, Ragnaros, Malygos, and Ysera on this account and Thalnos, Cairne, Sylvanas, Illidan, and Alexstrasza on Americas. I'm thinking either Leeroy or Deathwing, leaning towards the latter because I don't have a lot of the cards that would synergize with Leeroy on this account.

 

I'm so excited for the new adventure reveal tonight. I hope it starts releasing next week.

one mana 2/2 beast for druids looks really strong =O

new hunter card (2 mana 1/1 beast, deathrattle summon a 3/2 beast) I feel won't be as great. 3/2 summon a 1/1 and you can trade with a 3 heath minion and get a token in return. 1/1 summon a 3/2 and you will likely get your 1/1 traded into by a 2 health minion and then you're screwed.

Paladin card (6 mana 4/4, discover a spell and restore health to your hero equal to its cost) gonna be good. Better statline than conjurer, with the added heal.

The Curator gonna allow for some sweet combos with Malygos. Even if you don't include any beasts or murlocs, 7 mana 4/6 taunt battlecry: draw your win condition is good.

 

The gold cost for adventures is way too much of an investment, imo, regardless of how interesting the cards look. I'm already kind of bored of Old Gods, so I might sit it out until the next expansion. I'm not about to start giving Blizzard my real money (says the guy who owns Overwatch).

I crafted Deathwing, but like, I put him in a deck with eight other legendaries. I either get rushed down or my opponent has trouble dealing with all the other big guys and DW just sits there. Eh, I like knowing that there's a hypothetical situation where my opponent has miraculously killed all the other huge minions in my deck, and now that he's run out of resources but has a full-ish board, I pull a DW on him.

 

The amount of content you get is totally worth the $20 for the adventures. I always have fun with making decks for the heroic bosses and Blizzard seems to be adding more cards every adventure.

I think the lower amount of cards also means stronger, meta-defining cards. I would rather pay for more adventures than suffer through boring expansions like TGT and Old Gods where 90% of the new cards never get played.

 

20 bucks is like four full games on a Steam sale. nuh-uh. I ain't spending that much every time an adventure comes out.

 

The meta defining nature of the adventure cards is no fun when you can't afford said adventure.

Becomes frustrating to play against when what cards you have become inferior and you get stomped in quick play.

Man I hate the power curve of card games.

 

$20 once a year for a game I play almost every day is a steal.

 

I know this isn't Blizzard, but is anyone playing Elder Scrolls Legends? I imagine no one that isn't already familiar with Hearthstone would be, no I'm asking in hurr.

 

Even though I play HS every day as well and it took me only a week to beat Child of Light, I think the $3.79 I spent on Child of Light has already left me feeling much more fulfilled than the $20 I could spend on a HS adventure. I can't imagine feeling good about spending $20 for cards I could get for free if I was patient enough when I can get a Humble Bundle like the current 2K Bundle that's 10+ full games for $5 less.

Yes. I've never been one to follow any meta anyway. Seeing people use the same strong cards in the same combinations in game after game, cards that I would rather not buy, is the most boring and frustrating thing.

 

Getting only 10 gold every three wins is abysmal. And I'm not that good at the game. So I'd rather pay for the adventure.

Thankfully Blizzard were kind during Old Gods and I got a bunch of free packs that first week, so I didn't spend anything on it like I did for The Grand Tournament or Goblins vs Gnomes.

 

I'll probably uninstall this again after the adventure comes out. I'm already bored with the new cards.
