It’s so funny that the best piece of merch they released for the album is the longsleeve (clean design, not too busy) and they refuse to reprint it.
@paythetab posted new blink merch at Hot Topic in another thread OFFICIAL Blink 182 Merch & Shirts | Hot Topic
a little late on the 10 year California love. I was working in one of the gnarliest charter schools in Milwaukee and I would wait out front for all the late students rolling in with BTD on repeat. We moved from Wisconsin to Florida the week it dropped. I played it on repeat in the uhaul with everything we owned. So many memories. Giant D Face mural in Miami. Left Alone forever the Darkhorse single that never was.
182 Day: -Watched videos from the pop-ups to see an underwhelming response due to everything essentially being available online. -I ordered the die-cast van (watch it be the size of a Hot Wheels car) and the silver variant of TOYPAJ. -Did truly end up listening to blink on shuffle the majority of the day (realized I have way too many live songs and early demo songs that I wouldn't normally listen to in this). -Played TOYPAJ in full for the first time in probably half a year and WOW is it cohesive as ever. Might be the quintessential pop-punk album. -Watched the Coachella week 1 performance and my serotonin fully restored just thinking about how good we have it with this current era of blink.
A day late and buck short on celebrating 182 day but today I went ahead and grabbed that DSS One Step edition of Enema from Interscope's site. That was such a game-changing album for me so with the discount/free shipping, I couldn't resist.
I just bought a Tom DeLonge Stratocaster. I’m very excited about it and feel like a kid. I went with the black one from the There Is music video. Decided not to go custom build/modifying route like I usually do and go for the real thing instead. Always wanted a fender version since they first came out. I have Tom’s shell pink starcaster and that thing rules too. We truly are very spoiled fans. Timeless albums, tours, books, side projects, signature guitars, clothing lines, aliens….. Very happy blink fan right here. Maybe one day I’ll get a MH bass.
I got an OCDP kit in college and it was super special to have. It wasn’t a Travis specific model but it was so rad to have. I sold it to a buddy under the agreement I could buy it back when we get a house for whatever the market value is. I don't play guitar or bass, but either one of Tom or Mark’s signature models would be so cool to own. Tom’s new Starcaster is probably the coolest guitar I have seen. It’s so awesome he’s back with Fender. Yet another layer of the restored blink vibes.
I wonder whats up with new music and demo’s. It’s been exceedingly quiet in the blink camp. Just listened to OMT 1&2 again today. It’s been one of my most consistent and enjoyable front to back play throughs on an album in years. It hasn’t aged a bit since it released.
OMT 1&2 are both so damn good. I really hope they working on some new songs. It would be great to have something new in 2027
I am sure they are demoing individually now and we will see a bunch of posts when they start tracking / writing together. I would be perfectly fine with some singles, or an EP or 2. I really can see them reaching some career high music on this next one and I am cool waiting a couple more years, but music would be great.
Ok, I will probably be crucified for this BUT Was no one else bother by how slick the production was on OMT 1/2? Like the vocals especially sounded like all life was taken out of them to me. It took me out of it completely and I couldn’t get into the record. Maybe I’m just being too sensitive.
