It was a stunt, months later she shared a video that showed it was two different bottles and just past of his act
I can appreciate some of NOFX’s output and his impact on the punk scene, including all the great Fat Wreck bands, but Mike himself has always been an arrogant ass.
I thought him and Mark squashed the beef kinda recently though? Not that it matters. That punk rock cliche thing is definitely old news and it’s just the clip that’s recently come about. Mike’s words are definitely annoying, but that whole case has been moved past.
When NOFX released the song I liked it. I do think they were just excited to be writing together when Travis talked about it early on. I kind of took all the press from the skiba era with a grain of salt. IMO Feldy had the best takes about what their mission was on those records and how it turned out. I’d like to hear the whole song and the 7 in would have been cool if they embraced it. does not sound like a single in any of the iterations to me though.
I dont think I ever saw anything from Feldy about their mission on those records and how they turned out.... know where that was by any chance? I'd love to watch/read more about that
He was on Mark’s podcast in 2016 talking about it and basically any interview he gave in 2016 he talked about how he wanted to get back to the summer time 1999-2001ish blink sound, which the pre-Feldy demos were not.
It was on his old podcast “Hi My Name is Mark” which is different from his Apple Music podcast. It was episode 9 that Feldmann was on. If you do some Googling I’m sure you can find it.
Yeah I spent a while looking and found a bunch of old/broken links.... his website, here, random pod transcipt sites.... no dice. :( @bradsonemanband , you have it anywhere?
404: not found Your link from main page about the pos had a link to the HMNIM page which is currently down/not showing the pod either
EP #009 - The Feldmann Interview — Hi My Name Is Mark — Overcast It ended up showing up on archive, but I admittedly have never used the site before... but I pushed pkay and tried to skip forward or around through the pod and rhe cursor/timestamp didn't move at all.. Oh well, I appreciate the effort fellas!
I was watching the Cheetah compilation youtubes over the weekend. And absurd editing and structure to them aside, they're always fun to go back to. Maybe it's because 25 years of TOYPAJ this week is hitting me right in the feels, but I still feel that there's a lot more footage that I remember from that era that AREN'T in the youtube comps... And I just hope those get found as well one day.
Do you have a link to the compilation? I can't seem to find a place that has ALL of them and I'm sporadically clicking on next videos.
Also, this time of year I always listen to Untitled in full and watch the "Making Of" or that leaked Untitled doc. It's crazy how that album and era had such an effect on me.
He did a bunch of covid era podcasts as well. Every interview I have seen around the new record he reflects on his time with blink and talks about two of the songs on the new one being from the post NINE recording sessions. He also did a deep dive with Toby on the OLOC pod. Toby and Matt Skiba are close buds and my recollection is they spend a good amount of time there. Sorry I don’t have more specific links or anything. As referenced above the HMNIM pod was awesome because it was either right before or right after the album came out.
