Travis Barker on Blink-182 & His Surprising Musical Muse: 'I Always Go Back to Animal from The Muppets' — Rolling Stone Haven’t given this a full read - but they lost me in the opening line “Back in 1992, a kid from Fontana, California, linked up with two other SoCal teenagers and helped form what would become one of punk rock's best acts: Blink-182. The Grammy-nominated trio went on to tour the globe and rack up hits, including "All the Small Things" and "I Miss You." For Travis Barker, whose rapid-fire precision on the drums became a defining element of the band's sound, some things never changed from those early days, including what's on his feet.” You’d expect a little more research from Rolling Stone.
Just my take - their older emotional songs were either very heavy (think the wall of sound in the stftk chorus or marks raw vocals in go) or naively hopeful (some of the subtle lyric changes at the end of Adam’s song which is perfect for the tonal shift brought by the crescendo of the bridge ). I don’t think they’re built that way anymore. They’re old, they’ve seen some shit. Think they’ve all come to terms with how little time there is. Being in the middle of a midlife crisis myself I feel it too. Cherish your friends while you got them. Hug your mom and kids while you got them. Let go of the petty shit cause you might wake up with stage IV cancer. Being angry or hopeful won’t stop the inevitable. Enjoy what you got today, don’t act like there’s tomorrow.
Pretty sad - one of the retired Generals who worked with Tom on To The Stars went missing. Been three weeks: Retired US Air Force major general missing for weeks: What we know

The Amy shark video is cool. Would love to see her in the states. Opening for blink would be a bonus.
if i didn't know better, i'd get that ashtray to put my guitar picks in. but i knowwww it's gonna be cheap plastic and that $20 + shipping is gonna be way more than it's worth.
I really want another red/whie/blue or splatter pressing of Enema to frame (and hopefully get signed someday). Still probably my favorite record of all time
I want more TOYPAJ love. I bought a 20 year anniversary shirt and love it. They should just throw back some +44 and BCR merch too.
Man, why does Blink merch always suck? I can’t believe a band as huge as them, with as much lore as they have, always has the most generic, lame designs. TBS, being way smaller for example, always has cool designs. I recently checked the Death Cab for Cutie and Nada Surf websites and both had beautiful designs. It's so frustrating. Every drop is worse than the last.
