  1. If I was forced to erase Neighborhoods, DED, California, and Nine from existence in order to keep One More Time, it'd be an absolute no brainer.

We already had to live through two break ups and a fake 2009 reunion in order to get OMT. We've endured enough pain.

But I'd also dump those albums for OMT.

Nine still edges OMT for me. They're close though. Skiba has always been my favorite in general and he kills it on there. I also prefer what Travis does on drums on Nine.

There’s a couple parts in OMT 2 where Mark’s hooky poppy lyrics and Tom’s inclinations just work so well in a way that they were really disjointed on neighborhoods. It’s super cool and gives me a lot of hope for the next one.

i love nine but the only song i'd listen to from california is bored to death. i couldn't name another song from that album on my own.

Damn this winter has been so mild in Colorado I completely forgot to do my annual February play on +44. I am bummed we never got that follow-up record. Really love this album. It’s a mood record for me, but whenever I do play it I love it.

I still remember the videos of Mark tracking for the next album. I wonder if anything was actually recorded?

BAD NEWS is mark’s best explicitly pop punk song since TOYPAJ.

    Here's Your Letter surely

For some reason I feel like Bad News was written by Tom lyrically, and Mark sang it. I figured it was Tom's bitter divorce song. I could be completely wrong.

He was referring to the episode he just did with him, Toby said he was going to be a guest on marks radio show soon though which hopefully means that’s coming back

    Are You Watching Closely?

You think this interview with Jordan is almost a year old? That Hoppus one was June last year.... tbh I forgot mark was on and thought it was Tom before

Unrelated to the current Mark talk, but had a thought about blink's sadder songs (Adam's Song, STFTK, Lost Without You, etc). I wanna hear an Adam's Song-type song from blink in the near future. We've gotten some sad songs thematically on OMT, but the crescendo that builds on AS is something spectacular and would love to hear something similar.

Nothing will top Untitled for me, but capturing that emo/moody vibe would be great to expand on, just like we hear in More Than You Know.

lol after their promising of experimental sounds on NINE and everyone getting hungry for untitled pt 2 I’m weary of them having a revisiting of that level of creativity and innovation. I am really happy with Tom bringing the BCR style riffs on Terrified and Everything Everywhere. I hope there’s more of that on the next release. I do think it’s possible for them to really push it, but I am keeping my expectations tempered.

His podcast can really be a fucking chore to listen to at times. Did we really need 4 1/2 hours with Hayley Williams?

I don’t think there’s another Untitled in them, and that’s not to say that OMT was a less than record because I love that record. Untitled definitely feels like a time and place record, and I think that’s what makes it so special.

I think we’ll continue to see flashes of it, like Can’t Go Back, but I think OMT is probably a better indication of blink from here on out.
