I keep seeing slop articles on Facebook about how blink fans are expecting new music this year. Like yeah that'd be cool and all but have I missed any teases or updates on that front? lol
since it's the start of a new year, i thought i'd revisit this very early live performance of "please take me home" from a NYE show blink did in 2000. i distinctly remember downloading this live recording in early 2001 via napster, and being so stoked for more new blink music. glad this recording is still available online.
Tom said it on a Podcast early last year (maybe Toby’s) that the plan was to start demoing tracks after their tour this year. Toby mentioned it to Mark when he was on the Podcast a few months later and Mark said something like “If that’s what Tom said then cool let’s do it”.
The drum beat and Tom's big sigh at the beginning are engrained into my skull. I haven't listened to that recording in years, but I still can hear it perfectly because I listened to it soooo much back when I downloaded it from Napster.
My exact same experience with it too. haha! Hit the hell outta the repeat button with this track. Anyone remember the video where Tom is in his car and he's listening to Anthem Part 2, and it was before the album came out. I remember watching that little snippet all the time too. I think it was a Cheetah video. But I've never been able to find it. What a time to be alive.
Got a crazy deal on these! So stoked to own them finally. Now I just have to decide if I want to take them out of the box
Damn, for a second I thought it meant he was going to reveal that song that he's been using to promote the book. The one people kept thinking was a new blink song. Still cool regardless!
I love any blink/face to face combo cause the first punk cds I bought were all the F2F up through Ignorance and all the blink up through Enema. All one Media Play trip lol
Is the interview worth checking out? I followed closely the book promotion and feel like I’ve heard the same anecdotes a million times.
