If you see a guy in glasses, a blank gray t shirt, gray pants, holding a maroon hoodie, and wearing Disney Princess shoes, that’s me. Ha
If you see a guy in a green shirt and tan shorts, get the hell off my lawn and stop looking in my windows
They ALLLLLMOST played “blow job” First note of “the rock show” everything went to shit and Travis couldn’t hear anything so there were no drums for half the song haha.
So.... how heavy were the tracks then? Is this a really wish i hated you on Halloween type of "went to shit"
Mark and Tom kept playing, sans vocals here and there, while they were like “do we keep playing??” but eventually Travis started playing but couldn’t hear Mark and Tom, but they made it work the best they could til the end of the song. And while Travis was figuring out his drum stuff, Mark and Tom started playing “blow job” to fill time, and riiight before the vocals came in, Travis was all fixed and started off the next song haha.
I just pulled out my phone sensing Tom was about to go rogue and was mad they fixed it a minute too soon haha great night.
Something I noticed was they used a TON of fog. To the point where my wife in her seat couldn't get a single clear photo because the white lights interacting with the fog essentially caused a screen, ha.
I noticed that in the videos. This stage setup is wayyy stripped back. I think when bands drop pyro, smoke is the other thing they can use to beef up production.
Are their amps just for show this tour or are they actually using them? Im assuming everything is piped through PA, but im still surprised if Travis whole wall of sound AND in ears were just totally dead... Terrible luck but they did a great job pulling through actually
Last night was so much fun. I was really happy to hear everyone around me singing along to Online Songs and Roller Coaster. Turpentine went over way better than when they played it a few times last year, too. So glad I went- I almost sold my ticket!
Show was great - the set was so damn fun. I heard a couple of people around me talking about it being a crazy set of songs for them, which was neat. The issue at the start wound up being fodder for some funny banter with Mark and Tom wondering if this was maybe the best the band has ever sounded to Travis because he couldn't hear them play. "Thank you, goodnight, we're blink-182" got me good.
Yeah, after Roller Coaster in Saratoga the other night Mark said "You know what's funny we should have been playing that song for the last 25 years" Kinda sucks he cares so much about the crowd reaction though..
Pretty crazy and I think some might find this interesting. This was a drummer on instagram doing a playthrough of "Brohemian Rhapsody". And I guess one of the engineers on California commented and said that he recorded most of the guitars on the album which I found kinda odd.
