Listened to Untitled on my drive to the beach this morning. What an absolutely complete and cohesive album. I truly hope we have another similar album from the dudes in the future.

Absolutely insane that they went from Rock Show/First Date and then two years later have something like Fallen Interlude on there.

Future album wishlist:
-Overlay harmonies of Mark and Tom similar to Feeling This
-Heavier songs like Obvious/Stockholm
-Cool intros/interludes that build into or end songs like before Stokholm/after Down
-Pushing the envelope on what “sounds like blink” and trying new elements and sounds
-Lyrically power packed (the connection of Holly’s mentions through Easy Target into All of This)
-Lock themselves in a room for some time and see what weird stuff they create


EDIT: That being said, OMT is definitely a complete feeling album, but I feel like Untitled tells a story and track listing is perfect and all flows together. Hoping for something like that.

Violence and Stockholm better be on this new tour setlist.

 

OMT Pt 2. Really has me feeling like they will get some nice elements of the unbridled creativity from Untitled, BCR, +44, AVA run of records again. I don’t think they will have another magnum opus, but I feel like they have it in them to get some brushes of it back in the mix.
