Fandoms are the worst

 

God forbid there’s a whole marketing campaign lead up that has a schedule. As someone who works in marketing, it’s all about strategy. The band is also in the UK, and focusing on tour once Travis is back with them. People are the worst.

I assume this week we’ll get information and maybe a song. If not, that’s fine too. We’ve waiting this long, a little more time won’t hurt.

It seems like Kourtney's situation is a little calmer now, so I think they go ahead with the news schedule for the week. If she'd had a more serious issue over the past few days, they'd have scrapped what they planned this week – and maybe the album this year as well.

 

I can kind of see the reasoning for fans to be slightly annoyed with the fact that the shows were postponed so last minute just from a “I can’t get refunds from lodging and transportation in time” way (I still think it’s not as important in the grand scheme of things though) but it’s really gross to see so many comments on social media of people being dismissive of Travis’ flying home to be there for his wife and also dismissive of Kourtney and whatever is going on with her pregnancy. Like, people dislike the Kardashians and there are valid reasons for that, but in the end they are still human beings and some of the shit I have read about Kourtney (and by extension also Kim and Khloe) is really gross.

 

How soon til Mark just deactivates his Discord server altogether? Haha

- excited for potential new music
- really hope all is well with Travis and family
- really hope the tour isn’t postoned/cancelled and my show next week is still a go

Like it’s not a good song but I have memories attached to it. Buying take off as a kid and that coming on after the album finished blew my mind. I thought it was hilarious and showing friends it and they had when you fucked grandpa and we would just laugh so hard. Bottom of the ocean is just a bad song with no memories attached to it.
