I guess to better put it, I want a good VARIETY of songs on the album. We’ve heard what they can do. I want this album to take me for a fucking ride! Just a little nervous to get my hopes up too high. Can’t say I can contain it though lol.

Hoping they did some heavier experimentation like No Heart To Speak Of and some of the darker ones on Nine. I think I have been fully expecting a mix of Nine and Lifeforms

Three dark horses on that album. Home Is Such A Lonely Place doesn't get enough love. Those one-off releases when each member shot home videos ruled. Matt hanging out in Vampire caves was wild.

Need to know what riffs go along with that double bass part travis recorded for this record.

  6. I think California and Nine show a massive variety in style and songs (more so than Dude Ranch/Enema). Dunno why we'd think all of a sudden the band's not going to have a variety of songs on their albums when they've been doing it for like 30 years?

I tried to listen to the Tom demos not long ago, I know a bunch of people think Endless Summer could be a blink song, and I just couldn't get into it. It's still AvA Tom to me

Blink is amazing. AvA is great in their absence.

    That’s it.

It’s crazy how we only got drum clips over the recording process lol and they all sounded slow with the exception of the few

The bridge in Bullets In The Wind is an underrated AVA/Tom moment.

This is a good take, and as close to my thoughts on the whole thing.

There's some great AVA songs, and they have a few cool gems that noone talks about. ie, I love The Revelator (despite possibly having Tom's worst lyrics ever), and Flight Of Apollo, and most songs on LOVE Pt. 1 I find myself revisiting a couple of times a year. The Adventure still rules, and I'm sure a bunch of us have a lot of nostalgia for those early AVA years, probably up until LOVE Pt. 2 came out.

AVA's fine for what it is, and none of us would be paying attention if it weren't for Tom.

Blink's where it's at, AVA can hold us over from time to time.
