That is some wild speculation. I am 100% cool with Tom taking periods of time away as needed and someone else filling in. It works just fine with AVA. If he could just say “I am taking time for personal projects and will be back eventually when I am inspired to be” vs. getting overwhelmed and overbooked and doing his pattern. I imagine after a year of touring and an album drop he will be unlikely to want to jump back into the studio. Who knows though. He seems to be having a blast.

Also would be down to see Matt return or be down to see another contemporary pop in.

 

I wonder if they would ever do a AvA/+44 tour with a Blink or Box Car encore.

Although at that point might as well tour as blink and actually get paid.

 

I mean I'm 90% kidding lol. And I want a good period of activity for Trio as I'm currently slightly more hyped for their new stuff, definitely hoping to go see them when they come around

Blink and friends fest needs to happen. Travis loves starting festivals, surely he could swing it. I wonder if Riot Fest could resurrect BCR or +44 for a performance. They have made it happen with so many bands.

 

Loved Edging from first listen, but it keeps growing on me as a staple blink single. It is by far my favorite era launch since their first reunion. I only play it once every couple of weeks, but it feels like a legacy single to me that is infinitely playable.

 

Edging is awesome and feels like first true single since Untitled days.

 

Bored to Death has entered the chat.

 

I will say, BTD was a fantastic song to kick off the Skiba era. Still love that song to this day, moreso now especially since Tom has been crushing it live.

 

Up All Night was exciting at the time, but in retrospect I like the song less now since it just feels like a weird jumble of good ideas in four minutes.

 

Speaking my language, although I do enjoy Against Me!

 

BTD and Edging are on such a different stratosphere than Up All Night in terms of lead single.

Up All Night was a big moment at the time, and maybe that era is a bit soured in my brain based off now, but it just doesn’t hit as hard as the other two

 

I loved the 2009-2015 reunion era, and Up All Night is still one of my Blink faves, despite it's glaring obviousness of separation.

As much as I loved that reunion, watching footage of it now hits different, after how much Tom is killing it/engaged this time around. Shows he really didn't want to be there back then, which is sad.

 

I much prefer BTD and Up All Night over EDGING as studio songs, but EDGING is incredible live. Has such a good energy to it

 

Yeah I mean the reunion was a huge moment for me and gave me a blink album in high school and got to see them 3 times with Tom. It was something I’m still happy happened. However, the whole time it felt on eggshells and “does Tom care?” was always there.

But in hindsight and after this tour it just feels sooooo much different this time around and I love every second of it!

 

I just can’t get over how much it feels like 2002-2004 blink with this tour and excitement with the new album. A lot of these “full show” videos take me wayyyyy back to when I was obsessed with watching bootlegs I downloaded from Kazaa and limewire.

 

I'm still so happy it happened. So many good memories with Neighborhoods, and again, seeing them live with Tom. Was still a great few years.

 

So there will be a 182 Day merch drop, but I feel like I'm saving my money for a new album announcement. I already pre-ordered the regular vinyl they had up on their store and I know they are going to be doing new bundles and other store-specific releases/preorders.

 

What if.... 182 day drop included new-new album bundles!?

 

I think I'm too jaded at this point to believe there will be a new album announcement until this NA leg of the tour is done. It seems they shifted gears for the announcement and found a better timeline and I don't think they'd announce it during the tour.

I think a mid-July announcement with a late October release at this point
