Literally if I ran into him I’d just say hi, and that’s only if it was him alone. He’s just a guy.

That’s great of Mark. He is a cool dude by all accounts that I’ve seen. Which just makes me think he deserves to be left alone all the more.

I wouldn’t say it’s “wrong”, as I think it’s too strong of a word for most people who do this. Just simply better to give him his peace.

I mean, I understand the urge. I was like 10 people away from meeting him after a concert when he purposefully came out to meet some people for a short period of time.

I met both Mark and Travis at an in store signing during the +44 days. Both were super nice to 15 year old me.

Mark is the only one I haven’t met besides him replying back to me on social media lol.

Met Travis twice. Once when he played with the Transplants and the other was after a +44 show. Met him and Lil Chris actually.

Met Tom multiple times. Typically when he’s out and about, but a couple times because him and His ex-wife Jen are clients of my wife and he popped up while we were having lunch.

Tom is very down to earth and approachable. Travis was cool, calm, and collected. He was just very short conversation wise haha.

I definitely got starstruck by Travis though lol.

I tried to meet Tom and Travis after a Box Car Racer show in Cleveland. They said they’d be right back to sign stuff and then took off. The bassist was nice and took pics with everyone though.

I’ve just discovered Matt’s Heavens one and done album and I’m obsessed. It’s Morrissey worship in the best way. “Dead End Girl”, “Watching You” and “Leave” are incredible.

One day I'll do the tour of all the places they filmed at. I think you had the comprehensive list, right?

I'd have to revisit it to remember what else I liked, but I remember loving Patent Pending and Another Night. Also liked Dead End Girl. Remember loving the bridge of that song in particular actually.

The bridge is beautiful and feels like it keeps going in the best way. I listened to it really stoned and was like "I can't posibly like this any more than I already do".

  20. The Blink-182 timeline we have all known has suddenly had a significant update!!!

    Flyswatter is their SECOND demo!

Their first demo was recorded at Poway High School and includes two versions of “Hope” by the Descendents, and an unreleased song called “Whale Song.” As well as almost all the songs that later were recorded for Flyswatter.

And Demo #2 was actually called “21 Days Demo.” And the 2 songs called “Untitled” on that demo tape actually have names! “Nipples of Fury” and “Lunch.”

Also! The Dude Ranch demo tape has an unreleased song and there’s also an unreleased song they actually recorded with Trombino during the Dude Ranch sessions.

    My mind is blown.

  21. Here are all the tracklists and notes on recent discoveries thanks to the early tapes that Mark has been discovering and listening to:

Dude Ranch (Big Fish Studios with Mark Trombino, likely from before winter break, tape labelled as "Dude Ranch Mid-recording")

There is one unreleased song from the Cheshire Cat sessions, the Dude Ranch demo with Warren Fitzgerald, and the Dude Ranch sessions with Mark Trombino.

  22. Leak it Mark

  23. God I wishhhhh, but he said he’d only release any of this stuff if he had Tom and Scott sign off on it, but they don’t talk to Scott, so I don’t see that happening anytime soon, if ever.

  24. Also, Mark has all the multitracks for Cheshire Cat. Ahhhhh!

He doesn’t have the multitracks for Dude Ranch though, which is a bummer. He thinks they may have been burned up in that storage facility fire awhile back because MCA owned the masters.
