I always go there to see how badly and how immediately people will misconstrue any bit of news from the band. haha. The band could say "Album comes out August 31st" and someone will inevitably be like "Wait, this NEXT album or the one after that? Are we getting TWO albums this year?!"

    Do I splurge for pit

Were you pretty packed in the pit? I'm considering getting another pit ticket for my DC date and I just want to make sure I can have the freedom to move around a little bit. I need to get a good photo or two of the three of them and then I don't mind moving to the side. I sadly won't be able to get to the venue until an hour or so before doors so I doubt I'll have a great spot like you

You’re hero haha.So happy for you to getting such a great view!
How was the crowd in the pit?
I’ve seen them only once in NYC for GMA and it was probably most awful experience I ever had at any show.People constantly shouting on Skiba to play Alkaline Trio,Complaining about every single thing (it completely free show)….just not sure if I should spend big money on pit ticket :/

It's just not in the cards for me to afford a resale ticket this weekend and I'm really crushed about it. I see them at adjacent but I feel like it won't be quite the same. Hopefully the set isn't too much shorter

There’s only 25ish bands playing each day at adjacent across 3 stages and blink are obviously the big draw so I’m sure they’ll let them play whatever length of set they want.

regarding Turnstile, i didn't know until now that one of the band members is related to Lee Fang, the elon musk-fanboy journalist.

As far as the pit goes, it really depends on where you are.

Not gonna lie, I really struggled with some of Blink’s set cuz a lot of the crowd were obnoxious fucks being “aggressively invasive”. Like, I’m a passive pit person and just wanna enjoy the show but I had the most obnoxious dancers and people flailing their bodies up in my business and I’m trying to just enjoy the show.

I get it if EVERYONE was jumping around and moving up and down but no, I just seem to always get stuck by the obnoxious douche bags and the tallest people in the pit too. I would have gotten more footage had it not been for that.

My complaint about last night was I was truly getting angry during a lot of the set that the crowd was pissing me off. Maybe I’ve outgrown being in the pit, I don’t know.

It sounds weird to say, but I am so stoked I got to see Blink in the pit but certain people ruined certain aspects of the show for me if that makes sense. I’m trying to shut my mind off of the negativity but it’s hard not to fixate on it. Watching the videos I took made me feel better about it all.

  17. My wife prefers lawn seats, so we got some to see Blink together back in like... 2016 or something, and I hated it so much. Lawn seats are the worst when it's a band you love. I am extremely fortunate to have learned that lesson so I never do it again.

Many points in this post are why I prefer seats, or standing to the side of the pit these days lol

I was hoping to see Blink in a pretty upbeat environment but the vids from that first show have me thinking the arena tour might not be the place for it.

Did anyone goto WWWY last year? Were the crowds into it and produced good energy?

Might sell my Toronto tickets and just do WWWY instead.

  20. Standing like 3 to 10 rows back to the side of the pit is the perfect spot for GA situations, hands down. Less rowdy, still up close, usually a little bit of elbow room, etc.

  22. i'm so "bad" at taking videos and pictures at shows, and also in general. i'm just there for the fun times, and i can always rely on other people's videos later.

I’ll take a picture of 2 and put my phone away for the rest of the show.

It would be rad to see blink do residency type shows where they do 3 nights playing different eras. enema / TOYPAJ night, Untitled play through and some neighborhoods DED deep cuts. Skiba era stuff. I hope they get creative with their shows after this tour. Pipe dream but blink and friends shows with all of their side projects having short sets would rule. They could definitely do a Blink fest and crush it big time.

My approach is being phone free for the first song, get all my photos/videos done during songs 2 & 3, and then the phone goes back in the pocket for the rest of the night.
