The four chord discussion always seems ridiculous to me.
First of all, that is what makes ALL pop music attractive to the human brain (repetition, predictability, patterns, etc.). Second of all, as someone who can play all of the chords, I still can’t construct hit after hit because there’s an actual art to it.

So I found out yesterday that a co-worker actually went to Coachella Weekend 1.
She's a hardcore Frank Ocean fan, mainly flew across country just for him, and spent her entire Sunday camping out at his stage. Obviously she was very let down by his disaster of a set.

......but when I asked her what her favorite set of the weekend was, she said Blink 182. Really surprised me! She's 26 and doesn't listen to rock music. Went to the festival for an R&B crooner, and walked away saying that a pop punk set was her favorite of the weekend. It really blows my mind that Blink is the only band out there that has such a crazy audience crossover, not just with genres but also age groups.

Also made me low key angry and jealous, because she got to witness Blink's first reunion show in almost 10 years and I dont think she realized how big of a deal that was for us die hard fans haha.

 

The greatest songs of all time use like 4/5 chords.

It's a lazy critique, usually made by people who don't know how to play a single chord!

 

I mean, I don’t think anyone was really discussing it or using it as a critique. I made a joke about it. That’s it. And it was in the context of playing those chords, not writing the whole song.

 

I am the WORST when it comes to white tshirts and I'm afraid to even wear them most of the time. I have a Tame Impala shirt from their last tour that I've worn once because it's so nice (great material and feel) and I just don't want to mess it up.

With all of that said, I will buy this design even if it's only offered in white. As a gay, it's my duty to do so LOL.

I feel this so much. If a shirt has good feel and fit, I will wear it until it literally disintegrates. That said, I've noticed blink rarely has super soft shirts that don't fit like a box. Which is unfortunate. So I'm gonna be THAT GUY at the merch booth that has to feel the shirt before I make a purchase. Don't even care.

 

Stage setup has changed for the Pittsburgh date. Was two runways originally. Hoping this means production holds are soon to be released. I am beginning to sweat not having tix 20 days out!

 

Envisioning the smiley in the middle of that diamond ... wonder what else is going on.

 

I know exactly what you mean about Blink shirts. They've used that awful Gildan heavy cotton merch for years, and I've never understood it. Like, do they not know how the shirts feel? Feels like I'm wearing sandpaper on my body LOL.

If you zoom in on the second pic from IG post, you can see a "Tultex" tag on it. Fingers crossed this means their merch team has their head on straight this time around and picked softer material for merch. We'll see!!

 

I imagine Mark's + Tom's setups will be in that diamond, no?

This show is rumored to be Travis’ first set as the permanent replacement for Scott.

 

Where are we seeing this new stage layout? I'm still hoping to find a semi-affordable ticket for Chicago and I'd be more open to the behind the stage seats if it seems like they'll be spending a lot of time further up

 

LA dates have this setup currently. Interested to see if it changes over the next few days
