  1. Ah yessss you’re right. It ended so long ago that it feels like it was only one season. Ha. GIVE US A THIRD!

I'm guessing that the lack of a hit single penally killed the show, even just one hit could have done wonders, but they never got it. It kinda invalidates the whole goal of the show unfortunately. Anyway, I loved it, would love to see more of a stage for songwriters

I know who he is, it's just a lot easier when someone asks who he is to say he's the one direction guy lol

Soldano is an amp brand. Profiled amp means a digital replication. Guitars were recorded using a digital model of that amp. They sound really good.

STLtones has various amp sims, awesome stuff. There’s a set of John Feldmann captures/presets available through their ToneHub plugin, that sound absolutely great. His Saldano preset is my go-to rhythm sound. There are even a few blink presets!

They also have a plugin called Controlhub, which contains various packs made by producers and mixers (Neal Avron being one of them), containing presets based on their personal signal chains. Truly great stuff, i use it all the time. That picture probably means they’re collaborating on something with him.

Latest episode of the Thrice podcast with the guy that mixed their last two albums talking about all the ways computers can make/fake/people sell these tones these days was really interesting. Makes me appreciate how TAITA revisited sounds on a whole different level.

  12. That's so cool^ Sonny who started STLtones is a friend of mine and was a producer in Australia originally.
One of my band's albums was the last thing he did before taking the risk moving to the USA and doing STL full-time.
So cool to see how far he's gone and very sick that the tones are used on new blink.

Now Tom fans are going to get SLT Tones instead of Triple Rectifiers haha.

I am loving the podcast. I really like Thrice but I wouldn't put them in my all-time favorites category. I wish more bands would take their approach of connecting with their fans and doing rad out of box stuff. I would lose it if Blink did a podcast series related to a past of present album. Manchester and Underoath are two other bands that have been doing really cool inventive stuff.

Man, with the announcement of Tim Armstrong and Jesse's new band, I want to hear those blink songs so badly. Cat Like Thief is one of my favorite features of all time. Tim on a Blink song would rule.

It's called Bad Optix, there's a new single out there already (called "Raid"), which I listened to a few minutes before posting this ;d

It's super rad. The OG Op Ivy dudes made a new band and the first single sounds like old friends jamming. They said they made "a ton" of new music coming soon. Got me pining for those Tim Armstrong blink songs though. He never misses, so consistent.
