    Things have changed.

Mark has said they're contracted for 90 minutes.

  2. Yeah the 30 songs definitely means they might swap a couple out here and there. No way will they ever play a 30 song set.

I know there are legitimate complaints about their setlists but they could be worse about swaps. I think they played all of California at one time or another except for 3 songs?

I think that 30 is pretty standard for their usual m.o.

I like the 90 minute sets. Thought it was perfect and didn't drag on when I saw them

Runtime on these dates is gonna be pretty short. 90 minutes from blink, Turnstile headliners are usually only like 55-60 minutes or so. Not going to be a very long night lol

    Turnstile 8-850
    Blink 9:30-11

seems like a pretty standard concert to me.

If Brohemian is on my set I'll legit be angry haha. I'd take 30 seconds of Mark/Tom banter over that song.

Looks like Ticketmaster has every show starting at 7:30! So early!

Yeah I think you’re right. I believe the only songs from California they didn’t play on the California Tour was Home Is Such A Lonely Place, Left Alone, Teenage Satellites, Rabbit Hole and California. I think they ended up playing Home and California during their Vegas Tour.

Yeah that sounds right. The Vegas ones were acoustic right?

    Yeah I think that’s right.

Outside of Neighborhoods and NINE, blink generally plays most of their songs from their new albums on tour.

Tik Tok is great for me. Everything it shows me is horror books I would potentially like mixed in with a splattering of ghosts/haunted shit. I usually watch before bed.

I found it to be a much better use of time than doom scrolling Twitter all day lol

At risk of being the first user to completely derail this thread this week, what horror book recommendations do you have? Always been a horror fan, but as a non-believer in supernatural, it's very hard for me to find a horror story that connects with me. However, just recently finished reading the exorcist and was able to enjoy that. I enjoy some of King's books (Pet Sematery, Misery). Been reading "This Thing Between Us" recently, and it's been pretty good. I think books that are more psychological unnerve me. "I'm Thinking of Ending Things" was fun as well as most of "The Last House on Needless Street." There was a lot of buzz around "How To Sell A Haunted House" being straight up terrifying and I had to put it down after a while because it felt like a Goosebumps book. It was just too silly.

  18. You might dig "A Head Full of Ghosts" by Paul Tremblay. It really blurs the line between scepticism and supernatural.

Sounds like it's right up my alley. I recognized the name and realized that's the author or the recent M. Night adaptation.

So I am a massive Stephen King fan so I would point you to any of his really. You simply can't go wrong there! A lot of his more horror driven stories do have some supernatural element to them, however, the story itself draws you in. Like IT is not just a story of a killer clown. Cujo is not just a story of a killer dog. Looking at the Shining, IT, Salem's Lot, etc. One of my favorite stories of his is Needful Things. It'll never crack a top King list from most people, but I love it. Small town and everyone is out of their minds.

I did read How To Sell A Haunted House and yeah, I think I just don't love Grady Hendrix. My Best Friend's Exorcism is probably my favorite of his and is super popular. Last House on Needless Street was good, but not good enough where I'll find myself running to read more of Catriona Ward. However, people do love that author so maybe could be for you!

My taste is drifting towards slasher/splatterpunk/disturbing, and I'll be honest I don't really ever find myself "scared" reading a book. But horror is the genre I gravitate towards as it usually ends up disturbing or wild and I love that. Here's some recent horror-ish novels I enjoyed, some do have that supernatural element to them. No specific order:

    Negative Space - B.R. Yeager
    Dark Matter - Blake Crouch
Gone to See the River Man - Kristopher Triana
    Stolen Tongues - Felix Blackwell
    Mystery Walk - Robert McCammon
    Mine - Robert McCammon
    Boy's Life - Robert McCammon
    Penpal - Dathan Auerbach
Clown in the Cornfield - Adam Cesare
The Girl Next Door - Jack Ketchum
    Off Season - Jack Ketchum
    Brother - Ania Ahlborn
    The Troop - Nick Cutter
The Cotton Candy Massacre - Christopher Robertson
Dan Simmons - Summer of Night
    NOS4A2 - Joe Hill
The Traveling Vampire Show - Richard Laymon
Suffer the Children - Craig DiLouie
    Imaginary Friend - Stephen Chbosky
    Rosemary's Baby - Ira Levin
Let Me In - John Ajvide Lindqvist
Playground - Aaron Beauregard (check every TW prior - it's supposed to be horrific)

Haven't read Head Full of Ghosts but see it everyone as a recommendation. I did read Cabin at the End of the World and not bad!

Ohhhh I want to chime in!

I back @Donnie Ruth ‘s Negative Space recommendation.

    I’d add:

    The Cipher by Kathe Koja
    The Croning by Laird Barron
    The Fisherman by John Langan
The Stand - if you’re the least bit of a Stephen King fan, which it seems you are, this is a must read.

We're gonna look back at this timeline and think like:

"Remember when the hype eventually died down during the 5th month after the initial announcement and people were arguing over green day, pizza, and we created a book club? Yeah, thank goodness we eventually got them album in early 2023 winter"
