I was never a fan of Lil Dicky or his humor, but Dave is fucking great, especially Season 2

 

This would be....the greatest day of my life. I'm getting excited just thinking about it, even though it'll never ever ever happen.

 

Do you think the reason they’ve never done a full dude ranch tour is because Travis wasn’t in the band when it came out?

 

They only did an enema tour because the tour wasn’t selling well.

 

Not sure about Dude Ranch but I know for a fact that it’s the reason Blink have never played Vs. the Floating Eye of Death in full live.

 

I have nothing of substance to say other than I'm disappointed this thread fell to page 3.

"Matches-adjacent" is the perfect RIYL for me, so thanks for pointing this record out. I'd never heard of it and yeah really good stuff.

 

Yeah those were pretty good podcasts. Rick should really write a book between blink, UL, NFG, Fenix Tx, Box Car Racer and AVA to name a few I bet he has tons of interesting stories.

 

I was obsessed with that so-cal punk sound growing up. UL, Fenix, Pennywise, Descendents, etc. - all the stuff right in the Devoe wheelhouse. I still love all that stuff, but I thought all of those bands were untouchable. They were my heroes.

These days you can DM their members on Instagram and they'll reply, and chat most of the time. I thought chatting to say a Scott Russo when I was 12 was a farfetched fanboy dream.

 

Fun fact: I saw this band and Trivium together at my high schools battle of the bands in like 2003(?). My dad is a teacher at the school and he took me when I was in the 5th grade. I felt so cool. Rory ended up winning.

 

12 weeks now. Will their run finally come to an end???

 

Fall Out Boy will certainly dethrone them next week.
