That outro is truly one of the most BLINK moments in blink catalogue.Such an amazing melody.

    My hype is still there.

Seeing Mark, Tom and Travis together again making music in 2022/2023 is something bafflingly special.

I feel as though since Edging came out, their silence and very little posts/updates about what they're up to makes me think this is going to make this a good album. Not amazing, not top-tier, but a fun 40 or so minutes of what we'd expect of these dudes in 2023. Can't wait.

I may be drunk, but it's pretty fucking cool that it still feels very real and like a thing this time. It was pretty clear from a month or two into the 2009 reunion that Tom was a timebomb.

Also 21 Days is a top-tier Blink song as far as their never talked about repertoire. Outro, lyrics, all. Funny to thing it clocks over 4 minutes.

I've had this same thought several times whenever I see these random studio updates or when "EDGING" comes on Spotify.

Don't get me wrong, there was a good deal of nostalgia for me whenever they first reunited in 2009 and put out Neighborhoods a little while later, but that whole era felt weird. It was more like we were just settling for this version of blink because it felt like the band was hanging on by a thread and weren't on the same wavelength whatsoever.

Then of course, California was a great throwback album that reminded me what I used to love about blink back in the day, but that also felt like some sort of consolation prize.

This song and era is the first time I've legitimately felt real nostalgia for the band from their prime. I genuinely never thought I'd have that again because it took them damn near 20 years to get back to this point.

When are these tour tickets going to dip in price? Still $500+ for the floor in certain areas and easily $300+ for a seat in the 100s

100% due to vinyl delays. No chance the full album itself is this far along and not being released during the height of this touring cycle.

EDIT: At least we know we'll be listening to a new blink album before August at least :P

Dang. Really counted on a summer time return album.

  15. side note: i kinda hope the bunny and/or smiley face isn't incorporated in any of the artwork

    Things have changed.

August would be a real bummer.

Do pre-order sales count towards opening week sales?

No. Which was a huge issue for Underoath's latest album. Was supposed to come out mid October 2021, and was delayed to correspond with the vinyl release in January 2022. Was an issue because it messed up their promotion cycled and release of singles.

I don't think blink would delay because of that seeing as they're a much larger band, but I could be wrong. Also, with larger acts, their albums tend to get pushed to the front of the line so I'm wondering if that August info is just a worse case for vinyl.

Assuming the album comes out on a Friday I could see it being 6/9/23, right around the Enema release date and they could play up the 6/9, 69 jokes.

Also, let’s not pretend vinyl delays are nearly as significant for a band like blink.

They stopped counting pre orders with opening sales in I think the summer of 2020. It was a big deal with Taylor Swift's folklore, because the vinyl was delayed 4 months which prevented her from hitting her typical 1 million first week numbers.
