Didn't someone say The Story So Far and Rise Against as well? Aside from Turnstile I'm not inspired by the choices.

 

I think they said TSSF for Europe and Rise Against for AU. But surely it isn't just two bands at all of their shows.

I think a "reunited" blink-182 can sell out arenas a lot easier in 2022 then in 2009. Pop-Punk is cool again.

blink, Rise Against, and Turnstile would do fine.

 

Blink was my gateway drug to punk and everything else that followed. Way back when, an online search led me to a blink/mxpx fansite called absolutepunk and i've been attached to this community since.

I'll always have a soft spot for the band and this community and i'm excited to see what unfolds in this new chapter.

 

Rise Against is not playing North America.

I do think it’s funny how close this was to leaking a month or so ago when they dropped the 30 year anniversary merch. Remember how mark had to come out and be like “settle down, nothing is happening”

 

In 2009/2011 Panic!, FOB, and My Chem were all in big commercial dips they opened for blink-182. Panic basically was trying to get through a breakup, and the other 2 broke up right after.

 

(A different time I know) but Blink ADTR, All Time Low/All American Rejects and Blink, Simple Plan, The Used were doing amphitheaters in North America 2016. Still think they need a bigger draw than Rise Against.

 

Totally. I remember a ton of murmurs about blink playing Lolla in SA and I just dismissed them. Guess I'm the fool this time.
