I will always love M&Ms but you’re pretty much right.

 

At their core, there's definitely some solid tracks, but not as presented here. The Mark Tom and Travis versions are far superior

 

Sometimes it blows my mind that my sister is the one who got me into this band. She came to my room when I was in fifth grade and said, “I think you’ll like this because there’s a song about aliens.” Of course, I LOVED it, and I ended up getting my own copy soon after for my birthday.

It blows my mind because my sister is now a married-to-a-cop Trumper with horrible taste in music.

 

Do you think from the get go when Matt was asked to be part of the band, that the contract stipulated Matt was always going to be a temporary fit until Tom rejoined?

 

Alright, alright, alright! A friend back in NY said I can stay with him so that I can fly back to the city of my birth and finally get to see them at MSG! Already told my wife she now doesn’t have to worry about Christmas gifts for me; the amount of money I’m about to spend on tickets, flights, and merch is gonna be stupid.

Was this when the Mark was insisting that due of Covid the members were limited in their ability to write and record music/ideas, particularly Matt? I vaguely re call Matt being the member who didn't have a set to facilitate this, or do we think that there was more that was not being said?

 

Matt was in the Quarantine video though right? I don’t know how many credits he had on the pre-2020 so don’t know if you’re purely talking about credits though. But I figure it can’t be super relevant if he appeared in the video anyway?

I didn't know that about the video, guess I never watched it, but he didn't do anything with the song itself. The band says its because he didn't have home recording equipment during quarantine.

 

That's what I was referring to. I find that to be a little suspect tbh, but maybe it was true, but with this announcement and how little the band seemed be doing since Covid, it doesn't come as a surprise.

Very easily. It’s a better pop punk album than 80% of other bands’ best. They’ve always had a knack for it. Flyswatter is their only unlistenable one through Neighborhoods
