  4. Hahaha it’s ridiculous, especially when you watch it and Tom just sounds like a wet fart.

  5. I am wondering which one of those shows I was at. It was probably Irvine or Inglewood.

  6. Messaged the roommate, we're 99.9% sure it was the Irvine show. We were on stage for Jimmy's performance and like fourth row for the main acts.

I really wish one day we get a 2001 or 2002 bootleg that doesn’t sound like it was recorded in a tin can.

The frequent use of the word Unearthed kills me. Like they dug up this footage of Tom playing a muffled Dumpweed from a tomb in Egypt.

Sorry for another (possibly) dumb question:
Will ticketmaster prices drop for pit, or are they pretty set in stone?

I'm debating just getting the tickets to Hollywood, FL now vs. waiting for prices to drop on stubhub/tickpick

I'd wait. I got pit tickets last year for cheaper than I originally paid for seats.

Flew through Box Car on my discog run following along Mark's book. BCR is absolutely perfect for what it is; no notes. Without that album, we would have not gotten the masterpiece of Untitled. That animosity and confusion truly led to them just taking it out in the studio.

Now onto the +44 chapter and listening to that album. Damn, Not It Isn't is just impossible not to scream along to. "In foreign dressing rooms" truly just hits so hard. This is I can't stand you. Spill your effing hear out, Mark.

Unearthed backstage footage of Tom before the Reading Festival concert in 2014.

    Things have changed.

He told a brand-new story about the mixes, though, this time with Travis!

it was like — we got back together, didn’t really know what we were doing, produced it ourselves, and that’s it. oh and by the way travis would only listen to the mixes in an escalade. :rotfl:

I think it makes a lot of sense to talk about that album as little as possible.

Finally finished the book (I’m a slow reader).

Seeing that IG chemo picture again made me tear up like when I saw it the first time. That section was rough, even though I knew how it ended.

Overall, a fantastic read. I just wish there was a little more about the OMT recording and the 23/24 tours. Though I understand ending with Coachella.

That's my biggest gripe with this reunion/OMT era haha. Not enough press with the band as a three, and very minimal "how it all happened" / studio media around these three being back together. I know we're coming up on 3 years and the OMT cycle is done, but it would've been so awesome if they released a doc or something. I just don't think the Zane interview, the Toby podcasts and Mark's book go deep enough on it all.

I'm a choosing beggar though. My favourite band is getting along, playing amazing shows and released one of their best albums. It's all still so good.
