Lol I thought that too. Obvious mistake

 

I'm about halfway through the book and realized I need to stop reading this at night. I usually read at night because it puts me to bed easily. However, after reading this book, my mind goes absolutely nuts and I can't stop thinking about blink and I end up staying up way later than I thought. Thinking about what I know happens next in the story, what my favorite songs are in the current era I'm reading about, literally just anything that gets me excited about this band. Then I get mad at my brain for just not shutting up and letting me sleep. So yeah, I'm going to have to read this like right after work from here on out.

I also realized my "spoilers" from Night With Hoppus are directly pulled from the book; some story deliveries were word for word. Pretty funny!

It's crazy how something new and exciting from this band (a teaser, a pic, an interview, a book) throws us all right back in to discog runs, favourite albums, and happiest moments.

I love it.

 

I one hundred percent believe Mark did that just to punk the fans. "Watch these dummies get mad I started +44 on chapter 43"

Listened through Enema. Wendy Clear remains one of my favorite Blink songs. The clean guitar on the chorus right after the bridge is timeless. Still sounds fresh 25 years later.

The Mark oooh’s in Anthem and Adam’s Song have always been an underrated part of those songs. A perfect album. On to the Mark, Tom and Travis Show.

 

Always insane to me that EOTS is 29 mins long. And it doesn't need to be longer, it's perfect. Mark mentioned that in his book and I had forgotten about how short it was. Talk about short and sweet!!!

 

I used to keep a pillow and blanket in my backseat, so if I was feeling sleepy, I'd take a nap during my 30 minute lunch break. And that was before I had an alarm clock on my phone, so I'd put Enema on, and I knew that when it ended it was time to go back inside.

 

Jerry Finn was a genius.

 

Yeah Enema is the perfect pop-punk album in my opinion. It just sounds like what pop-punk is supposed to sound like.

Mark listens to Enema at 1.25x speed to match the live show energy.

 

An Evening With Mark Hoppus last night in Chicago was electric. I just cracked the book this morning, so I am not sure how much of the live stories are represented in there, but I'll spoiler tag my show-specific thoughts.

LOVED the fun usage of the screen to make it a full experience. The intro text was incredibly on-brand for Mark and immediately set the tone that this was going to be a fun experience. Watching the prank on Tom at Reading was excruciating in the best way. I would be LIVID if Tom told me he himself thought he was too drunk to play one of the biggest festivals in the world.

I thought I would cry more than I did, but the part that got my eyes wet was after he accidentally posted his chemo visit on Instagram, a group of cancer survivors sent him a video of them singing All The Small Things.

Hometown crowd went completely nuts for the Skiba discussion. Ozzi said something along the lines of "This crowd must be full of Alkaline Trio tattoos".

 

Spotify says Enema is 35 minutes but I am 1000% certain when I would play the cd it would say 29 minutes

 

Wiki says 35:17. No way to know for sure.

 

I just think it’s funny @bradsonemanband has been taking 35 minutes lunch breaks and getting away with it. So punk rock!
