Yeah, I am surprised by how much fun I had at the event. This is trivial and some of you probably won’t agree, but I did feel pretty weird about everyone cheering the Enola Gay thing. The Saddam stuff was kind of off-putting to me as well, lol.

Really wish someone had recorded that person in the crowd, haha. I think the blink fandom has a subset of unique individuals.

Remember that one video where these guys were asking Mark questions and one guy was like "what do you think the worst way to die is?" and Mark was just super unsettled and didn't really answer. There's some cringe fans out there (not limited to just blink).

  3. some people just really crave being the center of attention in a crowd, which drives me crazy.

  4. there was an unexpected amount of military stuff lol

I’m listening to the Descendents now because of Mark talking about them last night. I’ve only heard Milo Goes to College before, but I Don’t Want to Grow Up is great!

Just started it and I lied - I have heard this one too, but only once or twice. Yeah, this fucking rocks.

Edit: none of these songs sound familiar other than the first track so maybe this IS my first time!

Edit 2: yeah, this album is the one

Anyone know where I can watch a recording of the Coachella performance? Looks like it got taken off the web and after the book show I had been meaning to watch it again.

Yes, he did! I really wanted some sort of “fuck Dr. Luke” and had to keep reminding myself I wasn’t on Chorus, ugh.

Yeah, I felt the same way. It did crack me up to hear one of my favorite Trio songs next to Since You Been Gone but at the same time YIKES.

at the risk of complaining about the embarrassment of riches in all these mark interviews one thing i would really love to have would be an hour plus podcast with mark breaking down OMT and pt2 from his perspective. We have gotten the least from Mark about this album and i’d love to hear him speaking candidly about it.

I would love that too, simply because I love this album so much. After listening to his memoir, I decided to throw on OMT again. I think I might love it even more now.

+44, AvA, Neighborhoods, Cali, NINE, etc. I've loved it all to some degree and it's all been nostalgic... but OMT still gives me the same exact feeling I had when I listened to them from 1999-2004. A band finally on the same page, bringing their best.

Yep, I’ve gotten very comfortable saying it’s an all timer for me. I’m pretty sure it’s also my most listened to album of all time, and if there’s anything else that comes close, it’d be Enema of the State, haha.

  20. OMT is easily my most listened to Blink album since it came out. I've listened to Enema once, but other than that, OMT is the only full Blink album I've listened to haha. I love it so much.

Nothing will top Untitled in terms of number of plays and absolute talent, but I would not be surprised if OMT is my #2 from blink. I think the whole experience leading up, during, and currently has shaped my love for that album. The Neighbs comeback was so lackluster and never fully felt resolved ("Tom doesn't look like he wants to be there") and this reunion has just ticked all of the boxes. Both 2023 and 2024 tours were epic. Album is incredible.

  22. I just realized I don’t think Mark mentioned Simple Creatures in his book at all huh?

  23. it's on the back flap, but i don't think so (got a little bit to finish tonight)

He thanked them in the acknowledgments but no mention in the actual book.

Besides rushing through the recent history of blink and ending with Coachella, not even mentioning Simple Creatures is the complaint I have with this otherwise awesome book
