$75 to see his book show today and man it's a pretty penny but it's Mark mannnnnnn god damn it.

Debating holding off on getting tickets today and waiting until closer to the show date to hopefully find cheaper resale. Only issue is I have a group of 5.

Anyone had any luck/bad luck doing this?

Had great luck last year and got cheap pit tickets in Lexington, but they haven't played Cincy in a while.

 

Hey guys, first time buying a ticket for USA show, think I have a good shot during the presale today?
Also, what's generally the price for the cheapest, furthest away ticket? I saw them almost front row last year here in Colombia, so I woulndn;'t mind a seated tix this time

 

Even though I've heard the stories a million times, I do think his retelling of the Box Car Racer saga makes his view even more sympathetic. And he does so without demonizing Tom

He wasn't just angry that Tom was writing songs without him but more that literally everyone in the blink camp, down to Travis, Jerry Finn, their booking agent, manager, label, etc. was involved. To the point that it seemed like a conspiracy to remove him, specifically. No way would anyone NOT take that personally. It also came during a time Tom claimed to want a break from touring and music and then ended up (semi-inadvertently) launching a full-fledged project.

Doesn't really change anything about the story, but it does make me feel more sympathetic towards him and understand why he held onto that for so long. I think a lot of people still just think he was being petty and controlling, as if he was just saying "no side projects!"

My seat is pretty garbage but I'm in the room for the NH date.

 

Ended up just getting the tickets today. Would rather have the peace of mind haha

 

Secured... the furthest away row too XD and it cost me a kidney, but I don't get to live this dream every day.

I at least managed to snag an aisle seat without having to deal with the stupid "aisle seat offer" they do.

 

Don’t think I feel like spending this much for not even good tickets to drive like 2 hours to NH in a shitty amphitheater on a Tuesday night lol

I might just wait to see if they drop closer to September

 

Would be curious as to how these sell compared to last years tour. I'd think the demand wouldn't be as high, but seeing as they're playing in places they haven't for a while, I'd wonder if it's still there. I'm in the camp of waiting closer to September and probably just buy a ticket day-of for whichever date works out best.

This is exactly what he did with AVA too. Although I bet he was planning AVA for awhile before he quit blink.

I just finished the Jerry Finn chapter on his death and I found it interesting that Mark said Tom asked Jerry to produce AVA and Jerry said no. I could have sworn I remember reading an interview with Tom and he was asked why he didn’t use Jerry and Tom said because he didn’t want the album to sound like a blink album. But I could see why Tom would say that if Jerry did turn him down and then end up working with Mark/Travis.

Also would really have liked to get The Adventure blink demo if it even exists. It’s probably just music and no lyrics though.
