Got tickets to the MA date in Somerville. Haven’t been in that theatre in like a decade. Should be a fun night. Hoping for a Q&A and curious who the moderator is. Perhaps at the end he will bust out the acoustic and appease us for a song or two :)

All the parts they were seeking to do in the Skiba era come together so well on it. The mark version of radio pop in the verses, the Skiba flawless catchy chorus, that bridge / outro. Nothing feels forced and it’s just a killer song. I wish they would have taken some time to let the album cook a bit longer because there are some amazing moments on NINE. It will forever feel like a Frankenstein album to me of the Feldman songs branching out a bit past what they did on California and the cowritten songs that I’ve never fully gotten on board with. I think BIOMY is their biggest whiff and really tanked the hype coming off of California. I love this album and have accepted it for what it was, but I always wish we would have gotten something more cohesive as a send off for Skiba.

On Some Emo S is bottom of the barrel for me. Down there with BIOMY.

I've actually been inspired to listen to the Skiba albums lately. Listened to Cali last night and while some songs still hold strong (Cynical, BTD, Left Alone), there are some definite clunkers in there (California, SOHM, Rabbit Hole). My original excitement for that album definitely skewed my ratings of blink stuff and it definitely falls in the "mid" tier alongside Neighborhoods.

Listening to Cali DLX and Nine tonight and anticipating some similar sentiments. Seems like blink's album timeline spiked from Buddha to Untitled and then we flatlined into a coma until OMT. That being said, I TRULY appreciate Nine for pushing away from the (let's make EOTS again) and Skiba's presence in the band because I truly think that without him blink would've ceased to exist fully.

On Some Emo Shit is one of the only songs from that era I return to!

Emo, Hungover You and Remember To Forget Me was all just such a fresh strong end to that album for me.

Anyone here have one the new Mark Hoppus sig jaguars from fender? If so, how is it and is worth $1400?

I don’t, but a buddy of mine does and he loves it. It’s kind of like a hybrid p bass with the offset of a jag

I had the hot pink one and sold it. It played fine, but I don’t really miss it.

  15. I think top to bottom nine is pretty great. A few clunkers but I think it’s a top tier blink album

NINE's great, despite being a 'Tom in blink' purist, it's got some absolute bangers.

Lot of love for the Skiba era, especially since Tom's back and I can romanticize it with Mark and Travis carrying on with the band at the time. I wasn't as kind to it as I should've been when it happened.

Listened to Cali DLX and Nine tonight. Wow is Nine such a step up from DLX. HUGE smile on my face when Darkside came out. I truly think that might be my favorite Skiba era song. So many great songs on Nine.

EDIT: Oh damn totally forgot No Heart to Speak Of!!!! Man oh man, I do not give this album enough credit.

I’m glad a lot more people appreciate the Skiba era in retrospect. Some great tunes.

I can't believe NINE being great is even up for debate. Of course it is.

It is a crime they didn’t slip in Cynical for the benefit show. It is like 2 minutes tops live, they’ve already played it with Tom and it is arguably one of Skiba’s best parts in his time with blink.

Had this same thought. I never got to experience it live and I'd love to hear it with Tom. I finally got to hear Cynical live and it was with Tom in 2023 which was great.
