Id take a “Tales Beneath Your Dad” book showcasing the life of blink since the first book, including Skiba era.

After Mark posting all these images with Matt they should just bring back the rebirth of +44 with Matt as the lead guitarist and co vocalist. Or just do a side band that makes a record every 5-6 years with limited runs on the road. Loved the Skiba era, but I feel like there’s a lot to explore with those two writing together that they barely scratched the surface on in blink.

Very in for a Mark and Matt side project. Gotta keep Tom on edge.

  5. Mark and Matt were supposed to do a project called Cereal Killers but it never happened. And then awhile later, Matt joined Blink.

+44 and Sekrets would make a great combo.

The boys should do what they want to. Personally, I’d like the blink train to keep going with no detours.

edit: not counting time off for the boys.

Couple days late but that video of Skiba playing with them makes me so happy, what a full circle moment

I actually got chills when all three of them were singing together

Yeah, Skiba on stage is a check off another box for me on the “I can’t believe this is happening” blink timeline.

Very happy we are in this blink timeline/universe.

Unpopular opinion maybe, but I think modern blink should be a 4 piece with both Tom and Skiba. Having a second guitarist and vocalist would cut down on the need for backing tracks.
I get why OMT needed to be the original 3 members, but moving forward, combining both eras makes sense to me.

Well, Hank, I think the band will decide what makes sense.

  13. How is it that OMT still sounds so fresh?? I haven’t gotten sick of it at all. I don’t think I’ve listened to another Blink album in full since it came out.

back to the question on the book tour - How big are the auditoriums, if that, for a book tour?

  15. They are usually at book stores

I saw someone that worked at a Barnes and Noble mention that they have a separate “in person” inventory to encourage customers to come into the store. Might be worth a trip or a call to your local B&N or other local bookstores

I’ve only gone to two book tours before. First was Sara Bareilles at a 2k cap theater, and the other was Ben Folds at a 1k auditorium. Both times the artist did a conversation about the book for about 30 minutes followed by a solo performance. Sara did a 10 song set and Ben was only 3.

Deryck Whibley did something similar last year that I had to miss, pretty sure it was a 500 cap room.

I went to Travis’ signing when his book came out. Was at a small independent book store.

I remember everyone was like, "OMG! Blink-182" at TwitchCon, like, 2021 and by the end of it everyone was like...yeah...this is why rock music isn't mainstream anymore.

Been on an AK3 kick since the show. Matt is such a gifted lyricist and compelling frontman. I don’t know that a record ever reached the heights of him fully doing his thing on a blink record. California is him stepping in extremely successfully to a return to form, and NINE has some very high highs where he had moments to let loose. I wish there would have been more time for them to find their rhythm as a band together before he left. Something about this show leads me to believe he and Mark have a record in them together that would be really special if given the time.

I have a real soft spot for the last two AK3 records. Couldn’t be happier for how it all played out in terms of no bad blood. I would 100% get a ticket they do a tour together.

Neat, I just bought a ticket to Mark’s book tour! Only like 15-20 minutes from where I just moved to, which is sweet.
