I mean at least he didn’t totally blow it and say ATST or something

The bridge in "Emo" is pretty cool.

The bridge in Los Angeles is my favorite part of the song, it’s the main reason I come back to that track. So good

I know we are all loving Mark’s bridges but yesterday I listened to “I Feel So” and the bridge is fucking amazing. It feels like the song is asleep and starts waking up.

Italia said in the comments that blink filmed 3 different videos for Turpentine and scrapped all of them.

    ???

Also a video never released for ydkwyg about Mark growing up, with cgi young mark tom and travis faces transposed on these actors

Someone needs to ask Mark about these on his discord.

  8. A bunch of music videos and the Blinkumentary, RIP

  9. Also… unpopular opinion… I don’t think “Turpentine” would have been much of a hit for them, if it were a single.

Yea, don’t see that hitting mainstream appeal. It’s a cool song, but don’t see it doing well on radio.

No it probably wouldn’t have, but at least they would have played it on the American tour :(

I could listen to Mark discussing Blink songs all day. My initial answer to best Blink bridge is Feeling This, but Misery is definitely up there.

I really want to see the YDKWYG video.

Mark should also resurrect Sober for a new radio single.

How are you evaluating “best bridge”? Is it based on how it sounds as a standalone piece of 30 seconds of music or is there consideration for what it means & does within the context of the full song?

For me, if the song stinks but the bridge is the best part it loses a lot of points

I listened to OMT a lot last year in the gym at my work. My friend would always overlap workouts with me and never really even paid much attention to the album....until "Turpentine" came on one day and she was visibly pretty put off by it lol.

It's probably the least digestible song on there for casual listeners IMO. But who knows how it truly would have went over.

I think it's a little funny people are surprised the album didn't get a Grammy nom when I bet a lot of voters did exactly what the song "Turn This Off" told them to lol

Agreed. IMO fell in love dropping in may-june would have been a massive summer hit for them. not for the die hards, but i think it would have been a cultural hit.

I also think Fell In Love would’ve done well as a radio single. Same for Blink Wave.

Yes to Fell In Love, but I do hate the “having sex all night” line lol

honestly the majority of OMT is great for radio. still unreal we got such an incredible record from the blink camp this deep into their career.

  23. It’s easily been my most listened to Blink album since it came out. Constantly going back to it still.

Playing this weird game where I won’t listen to OMT until my DLX vinyl comes in, ha

I still play OMT front to back pretty regularly (deluxe songs included), with no skips. I was optimistic for this era, but I did not anticipate the album being THAT solid….especially since it’s essentially 27 tracks long.
