i don’t have or use tik tok but the same clips are on instagram music. Sounds like a mix of post neighborhoods what may have been, some NINE bits(never left mark part sounds lifted from NINE), and some cool curveballs. Everyone Everywhere has a big time BCR sounding riff. Nothing that reaches the heights of OMT, but i’m not really even looking for or expecting that. From the clips it sounds words better than california deluxe. I imagine these songs will get a reasonable amount of plays from me. I really only ever went back to parking lot right after california deluxe came out.

*edit Oh damn i didn’t realize there were minute clips, I was only hearing 15 seconds at first. These sound fantastic. They way the NINE type parts work with the tom riffs and vocal parts are really cool. there truly is magic when these three throw down. i won’t listen again until next week when they drop but im more excited hearing the clips than I was before

 

Finally, last night of the tour! What a night, what a show. I got Wendy Clear and Anthem Pt 3. Was worried I’d not get both with the way the UK run had been. Nearly 20 years since I first saw them in Dec 2004. Last year I asked Mark in discord if he’d play “Everytime..” as his wife had posted about it. He said no. Buzzing he replied to me. Gutted at the answer. However when he said they had a special surprise tonight, I thought I was in luck. It was just the Parker feature. He did a good job to be fair.

 

I know they aren't really blink related (other than Tom owns the company), but these new TTS shirts are pretty cool...

If I was a lot skinnier I would probably get one.

 

Went on TikTok just to listen. I’m super intrigued by “Every Other Weekend” and “If You Never Left”

only one more week!

 

Since the deluxe is coming out in a few days I'm just going to hold off on listening to any more snippets since we don't have long to wait. Although if we get another full song (or two) before then I'll listen.

 

Fair to say I've played the Can't Go Back clip at least 100 times today.

was a bit lukewarm on the new clips at first but now i can't get Every Other Weekend's chorus out of my yead. its my further confirmation that if blink just leaned into their new wave influences for a whole album, i'd probably love it as their new wave tinged songs are often my favorite

 

I can’t really articulate it, but after hearing some of these clips, I appreciate how diverse OMT is. Each song sort of plays a certain role on the album, whereas a lot of these deluxe songs have more a similar feel to each other.

Like I can definitely see why “Every Other Weekend” and “One Night Stand” didn’t make the album because they both sort of occupy the same space as “Blinkwave”. If all three were on the record (in place of a few others), it changes the vibe of the album as a whole.

they’re on insta too. it’s a slog to hear them but if you open a story and click to add music it’s the same clips.

I found them on reddit. Some of Mark's vocals sound straight up robotic. I wonder if that is due to his voice being post chemo. Though he seems to knock it out of the park live. Songs sound really good! Tom is clearly bringing a lot to these songs.

 

Just stopping by to say No Fun is legitimately my favorite Tom song that’s been released in the last decade

"Turpentine" is deeply offended.

 

Anthem Part 3 is the best Tom song in over a decade. Plus, It was an Angels and Airwaves demo prior to him rejoining blink, which is wild.

I remember being so bummed it wasn’t on Lifeforms after hearing the clip he posted awhile back.

Then my mind was blown when I finally heard what happened with the track.
