Not a criticism but I wonder why Mark just couldn’t sing First Date.

It’s a huge bummer they aren’t giving us mark deep cuts. Pin The Grenade, Bad News, or even Mark doing Matt’s part on Darkside would be unreal. I would throw up if Blink did a full band Lillian ( Pipe dream that would never actually happen)

Someone in Mark’s discord said they said the deluxe comes out on the 19th before playing Can’t Go Back. I just assumed that was going to be the announcement date, maybe they misheard and he meant the song? But that would be great, can anyone confirm?

 

I was shitting on this quite a bit when it happened (and super sad, because I was born for being a part of that moment on stage haha), but after I thought about it more, it's very possible she couldn't hear a thing.

Everyone uses in ear monitors to hear the mix... if there were no monitors how could she here what was being played? If she had some musical talent/awareness she could have picked up on where the song was based on the drums to start the verses, chrous etc, but otherwise she wouldn't stand a chance to sing in pitch.

 

It's also probably their first time performing in front of a crowd of 10,000 or whatever, lol. I'm sure nerves played a part in the disaster. (I haven't watched any of the clips)

 

Well isn't this just great. First, this site has to deal with sexual predator defenders and now we have to fucking deal with fake fan defenders. She didn't have in-ear monitors?? That's your excuse? Ever heard of reading lips? Or feeling the vibrations on the ground with your feet?

First Date is shit. The fact that she didn't sing it made it better.

 

There’s no need to defend but there’s also no need to be relentlessly cruel about it either! (Not necessarily talking about anybody here.)

 

It was gracious of Mark to take over.

 

Green Day manages to bring up a fan every night who does a decent-to-good job on a much tougher set of lyrics. So I don't know. Just not the best executed thing all around on blink's part. At least they eventually cut her off.

I doubt it'd release on a Monday, albums typically drop Fridays. So likely announcement/preorders and/or a single (maybe Can't Go Back?)
