This'll be the first time I'll own multiple copies of the same album on vinyl.

 

Clips sound great. Bring on the deluxe.

 

between meetings but caught every clip once, I heard progressive AVA, a little boxcar riff, some simple creatures, Travis’s distinct production style, classic blink pop punk, and some skiba era pop hooks. It does not sound like B sides from OMT. Sounds like they’re stretching the creativity and meandering in a way that’s fun and not too serious.

Super excited to hear them. probably not going to listen again until full songs drop. Rad they gave significant chunks of the songs.

 

"No Fun" is basically what I had in my mind of what I thought Tom's parts of the album would sound like. A song that could have just as easily fit on Lifeforms.

"All In My Head" sounds like it could have the potential to be one of my favorite songs from the whole thing. That chorus(?) is great.

This feels good, y'all. Really fucking good.

 

Really hope the artwork isn’t a hybrid of the current vinyl in the digital artworks color scheme. Let me give you more money blink!

Is there a reason why they are playing +44 WYHSB in that current slow style live? Are there legal or licensing issues with them being to "actually" play it vs "covering" it?

 

I was so excited seeing it on the setlist but the way they are playing it is truly awful lol.

 

Probably just to give themselves a break and split it into three separate parts. And "truly awful" feels a tad hyperbolic.

I love how opposite of their drawn out tiny clips this is. hitting us where it hurts out of nowhere. I’d love to see travis continue to evolve his production style to include some of his wild samples and counter intuitive parts from the untitled era and transplants. i get he’s going for the nostalgic golden era pop punk. would be cool to see that grow over time as needed.

No complaints on this release tho. I was hoping for an additional ep that was distinct and unique and this feels like exactly that. stoked.

 

What time should I expect PTV to go on tonight?

 

I'm pro deluxe when it's the same era. They also need to re-release Enema, TOYPAJ and Not Now in remastered forms with some of the bonus tracks (i.e tack "Man Overboard" onto Enema) since it's from that era.

 

I didn’t love cut me off and see you at first and now they are (esp cut me off) some my favorites on the album so I’ll wait to form an opinion on these until I get to hear them in full a few times.
