Will be in the pit for the first time in a decade tonight at Fenway! I better stretch beforehand haha. Can’t wait….

 

So curious when we will actually get the Deluxe album. Seems so unlikely it will actually be coming in the next couple of weeks. Ready for it though. My bet is late September or October celebrating one year of OMT.

 

Put AVA on shuffle and got Adventure right into Diary. It was working for me big time.

 

They also just released pit tickets for tonight but I can’t swing the almost $400 for it!

 

Grammy nom cutoffs are August 31 this year, so I was wondering if that played into anything and we'd have to get it before then. (I could be way wrong, someone correct me if I am).

 

Seee ya in there! Trying to figure out what time to go in. I typically like to go to Game On before any show in that area for drinks, but not sure if that’s wise with this one

At the show on Sunday Mark said it was coming in August.
Considering the Grammy cut off, I'd imagine it'll come mid August so that it is fresh in voters minds.

 

Also don’t be surprised if the deluxe is like the 2 already released bonus songs, an acoustic Edging, and like 1 other song haha

 

Yeah, I'm keeping my expectations WAY low. Would love if they included the alternate version of One More Time but I'm not holding my breath.

PTV: I think he said 7:15 -8

I had never listened to PTV at all, and didn't care for their set, BUT their bassist looked like he was as thrilled as one of us would be to be playing on that stage, so that was really funny to watch

 

and then i'm sure it was dramatically downhill from there

 

their bass player is fun to watch, but they weren't good

 

Since I have a seat, I’ll be there for all the bands. I can always just chill on my phone if I’m not down with openers.

 

Haven't they been going on at 9:30 usually? Maybe Fenway is earlier for some reason

 

they went on right at 9 here in SLC a few days ago

 

they’ve gone on at 9 every show on tour but Fenway has an earlier curfew and I called the box office and they said 8:30

 

Damn, I wish my show had an earlier curfew, ha.

 

I keep forgetting about the Grammys. That would make a lot of sense given an October album is pretty harsh when thinking about a consideration. A Grammy nomination and win would be pretty sweet even though the Grammys have been a huge mess. It would be WILD if they got one for California and not OMT. They deserve one and Rock and Roll Hall of fame feels very appropriate in this era of the band, especially for Travis’s massive musical cultural impact for decades at this point.

Perfect time to grab merch and a drink. The crowd was way more responsive than I thought they would be. I caught the last couple of songs meeting up with friends and it was enough for me to be all “okay I get it, but this still isn’t my thing as a dude in his 30’s that missed their come up”
