Blink’s biggest headlining show ever (I think?) was last night. 70k at Sofi!

Finally got a california play through in to celebrate 8 years. IMO Skiba more than earned his keep with that record. Such a unique era for the band. that california album cycle ruled. I saw them shortly after NINE dropped. Glad I saw a Skiba set, but I regret not making it out to a show when they were playing a ton of California songs. BTD in the setlist currently is such a great moment in the set. The Tiger from a Tree verse and Mark’s bridge is GOATED for me. NINE is a cool album but California is a significantly more enjoyable play through for me and way up there in my personal ranking.

Is that bigger than Reading Festivals they headlined or any of the South American shows they did earlier this year?

They played to a bigger crowd at coachella last year too, but this is specifically for their own headlining show, and it’s a massive accomplishment

I’ve been going through setlist.fm looking at every set list I’ve seen from Blink. Looks like this tour is the longest set list they’ve done (26 songs). Crazy that the 2011 Honda Civic Tour they were only doing 19 songs a night.

If they were to make a change, it would be on the second leg.

What songs do you prefer they play at your show: Obvious/Easy Target and M+M’s/Carousel/Wendy Clear/Going Away To College?

  13. Yes.

  14. Easy Target
    Wendy Clear
    Going Away to College
    Obvious
    M+Ms
    Carousel

Probably in that order of preference.

Easy Target/Obvious have rotated every show so if you want to spoil the surprise you can count how many shows between now and yours haha

  17. I'm seeing them on Thursday this week. Stoked! Not stoked to wait in line for a few hours in 104 degree weather though...

I feel like he stepped over the box or something. Had he been there 2 beats later - yikes!

As the traditional blessing goes: May they play One More Time last so you can leave early for the parking lot.

Thought "One More Time" was a weird/uneventful closer, so I went and watched a video of it to see if it would make me feel differently. Nope. Still a weird bummer.

Smart me would leave after Dammit in a couple weeks but I'm a completest and my brain probably won't let me.

  23. One of my friends from high-school will be something like three rows back from us. We used to go to Blink concerts together back in the day. I will not be skipping the closer.

Yeah, I'll be in the pit with friends from high school and, like Jason, we used to obsess over blink and go to shows together back then. I'll be sobbing.

The production visuals during the last parts of One More Time I think made it a perfect closer.
