Someone on the reddit met and took a pic with Mark, FWIW he apparently told him no new music before the tour when asked about it.

 

I am not in a rush to get new tunes, just happy to see them writing and in the studio right now. Blink is legendary for taking forever to get their stuff through the powers at be minus DED and California Deluxe, so par for the course IMO.

 

3 weeks from tonight boys! Got a babysitter and am taking my wife along this time.

 

My wife finally received the tickets she won back in January. Of course they’re nosebleeds, but I’m so excited to see the boys again and it’s the first night of the tour! 16 more days..

Every quarter decade, we add 4 new dad bands to the dad band top 10. Welcome Linkin Park, Nickelback, Blink 182, and Limp Bizkit.

 

Can't believe Mr. Bovine Joni is only at number 9.

 

It hurts on a physical level to see these bands referred as dad rock and I'm not even 30

This tour should have at least 3 deep cuts that don’t usually get played. Pathetic, Josie, ETILFY, Here’s Your Letter.

Why do they act like Josie isn’t a single? Why is it never fucking played?

 

Because it’s old and while a single, not as huge as what came after. Like, I love when bands throw in an oldie for the old heads, but I also understand a band 20+ years in may want to play newer material.

 

I understand Enema seems to be the general game changing album for the majority. But I really have to say its a combination of Dude Ranch and TOYPAJ for me.

 

They’d never do it but even if they just ditched first date for carousel or pathetic I’d be happy

 

I tossed NINE on today for the first time in a while and still feel confident, despite it prob being an unpopular take, this album has no business being as good as it is.

Everything on this album works for me. It had such a muddled and forgettable album release and immediately got pushed aside to an already bad selling tour to an anniversary tour … but it just works for me.

Nine is definitely better than California. I also never do a re-ordering of tracklists but that album should have opened with Generational Divide right into Darkside.

Seeing as Tom has said he got sick of playing Carousel, what I said is still accurate. If they decide to bring it back for a bit, that’s cool, and they should play whatever they want to. But I’ll never be shocked that they don’t play stuff off of Buddha or Cheshire or anything but Dammit off Dude Ranch.
