The head units (at least for my model) were actually recalled and the replacement only made it marginally more reliable lol

 

My Kia does the same thing with CarPlay sometimes. Gets super annoying.

I think I like maybe 2 songs on Neighborhoods and can stomach 3-4 others. The rest is pure dog shit.

 

I love One More Time and I love Neighborhoods. Glad both exist

 

Neighborhoods is such a slog to get through. And it only gets worse as time goes on.

 

Now that we have OMT and see what a proper album from them can be, I truly don’t understand how anyone can listen to Neighborhoods. OMT is so clearly a better crafted album that feels cohesive and like a true collaboration. It is the opposite of Neighborhoods in so many ways.

 

You need to blow into the charger port of your cell phone a few times then plug it back in. If that doesn’t work press the reset button. If that doesn’t work blow into the charger port plug it in then hit reset. Keep repeating until it finally works. It’s a trick circa 1985 to 1995.

Neighborhoods is a nostalgia album for me, and I have a lot of love for it, despite its obvious flaws.

I think it needs to exist though, for OMT to feel like the cohesive, modern blink we needed in 2023.

Other Side, Cut Me Off, and See You are all strong songs, but I would be okay if they lived as bonus tracks and not in the actual tracklist. Feels a bit long to get to Childhood after sitting with it for a couple of months.

 

Otherside was part of the OG album though...

 

I know it has always felt like a B side to me. A solid song but the closest to a skipper on this record.

 

Otherside is classic Mark. Could never cut it.

 

Otherside - Childhood is an emotional double punch everytime

Otherside is a top tier track on the album

 

Outside of Hurt, Fuck Face, and Turn This Off!..I don’t think I cut anything.

 

Definitely still a "no skip" album still for me
