For real. the OG headstock reminds me of a hockey stick or a cricket paddle or something. haha. Was so stoked that these had the Strat headstocks. I went with the white one. Excited for it to get here!

Hell yes. GC is also offering a deal. The 10% just automatically comes off when you check out, and I'm pretty sure they have free shipping too. Which you love to see. Plus on the slim chance you don't like it when it arrives, it's always nice to be able to return it to your local GC.

I'm not seeing this 10% discount when I add to my cart/checkout on GC - Fender site isn't showing Paypal "pay in 4" but GC is so I'm leaning towards GC or Sweetwater..

 

Weird. It's still showing it on mine.. Not sure why I get the special treatment.

Just my luck the shell pink is the only one sold out, but they let me place an order anyway and they'll ship when its back in stock. I also called Fender and they confirmed this isnt a limited run, and most places will be restocked by next month.

 

Sweet, that makes me feel better about waiting...IKON pass for next snowboarding season goes up in price tomorrow so I'll likely pull the trigger on that today and don't think I can swing that and this guitar in the same month.

Really enjoyed the interview with Tom. I loved that he was tinkering around with AVA delays. I feel like the last reunion he was having an identity crisis between his two artistic impulses and this time everything is integrated and in its proper place. big time good vibes coming from Tom these days.

 

My pink starcaster arrived today and hot damn is it gorgeous.

Also was very surprised to feel how light it actually is.
