Agree with the sentiment it is wild that OMT is having such a run as a song. Excited for them regardless. I feel like a lot of songs would have crushed based on Edging's run. My observation was a lot of casual fans found OMT very moving when the video dropped.

It is very early to speculate but I hope this album gets some Grammy love. I think it would be a huge icing on the cake of this era to win one even though the Grammy's are lame. The recognition would rule. Also, give them the Rock n Roll hall of fame induction while things are rad.

 

Well, my wife does like One More Time a lot and she is not a blink fan. So there is definitely some appeal there for non-blink fans.

 

This band has always catered to the casual fan. Just happy to connect to the deep cuts at this point of their career.

 

I’m surprised that “Dance With Me” didn’t pop off more than it did. That felt like the next big single on the record.

When I look at the track listing, the only other song that feels like it would have a run at a long lasting single would be “Blink Wave”

 

I think one of the main problems with “dance with me” is that the verses are almost unintelligible. The chorus rules and is a total ear worm though

That was the original chorus before the band felt it was too wordy and switched it with the Ole part which was the original outro. The song also had a longer (AVAish) intro before Aaron Rubin told Tom he should shorten it.

With OMT's 14 week long run, are they going to push another radio single? I wonder what it would even be.

 

Fell In Love seems like the most accessible song for the casual fans. Blink Wave should be the one though.

I feel like after the album release, there aren’t single pushes any more. The tour is sold out, I believe, so there isn’t much reason to push another single because no one listens to radio anymore.

 

I mean, a band of their size would make more money if radio play led to more streams and views on various streaming sites. It wouldn’t be pointless.

 

My thought on the Dance With Me discourse is the lyrics in the outro are perfect for an outro and would be too wordy for the first two choruses.

It kind of reminds me of the outro to Hit or Miss and the “I’ve had so many chances” part. Would be way too wordy for a regular chorus.

I do think Fell In Love would crush on the radio. Not my favorite personally but it is for sure an earworm and I think people would go nuts for it.

Damn I think Tom’s verses sound sooo damn good.

I don’t think it ever got pushed to radio due to OMT, which is a shame, feel like that song should’ve blown up and be playing at sporting events and shit. I do hope they put more stuff out though, this album is still so damn good top to bottom (still only skip Fell in Love) and it feels like people don’t know about it lol.
