I definitely want them to open with Anthem Pt 3 but I also want them to play all 3 in a row. I don't think they'd bust the first one out though sadly :(

 

Every Time I Look For You at 14 is shocking to me. Feels like a TOYPAJ deep cut. Above songs like Down, Dumpweed and Aliens Exist? I don’t get it. Who’s listening to that song that much?

It’s a totally fine song. 5th most played TOYPAJ song behind only the singles and Anthem Part Two? Never would have guessed.

This was super rad to see. It almost feels not real. Loved seeing the nod to California throughout. Seems like that record really works for the causal audience.

Cliff notes on the blink related things on the Skiba interview:

- Still talks to Mark and Travis, they are all still friends and no issues that he’s not in the band anymore, knew Tom would eventually return
- Listened and liked the new album
- Saw the blink interview with Zane Lowe
- Really proud of the blink albums he did
- When they recorded the two albums all 3 were in the studio writing together

Good stuff on recording the new Alkaline Trio album and some Jerry Finn stuff. Worth the hour listen.

Will these AUS shows next month reveal what we could expect for a One More Time tour setlist? Also pretty crazy that they're already gearing up for another tour, hoping they got a ton of rest. Rehearsals must be starting in the near future.

 

By going by past tour/album cycles I doubt it. I bet it will be similar to last year’s tour. They will probably debut a new set list/stage set up when the OMT tour starts in June.
