I’m still picturing them recording that song and Tom presents that melody and Mark and Travis just being like…whatever it’s fine, let’s keep it moving.

 

For real. i remember hearing that for the first time, with how amazing that acoustic riff is in the intro, and then that melody comes in, and being "Huhhhh?" I seriously did a double-take. Super weird. Like when Sum-41 had that spot on melody to that Nickelback song back in the day... like... why?

 

Oooo do you remember which song this was?

 

I’ve actually always hated the acoustic guitar parts of that song. It sounds so tacky & overpacked.

DED is so sick front to back if you think of it as a unique run and gun batch of songs they put together to have something cool for the holidays. I love boxing day. blink ain’t blink if there isn’t some truly cringe poppy songs sprinkled in the mix (especially true since the first reunion)

 

It's a fun song imo. Love the guitar.

 

DED is a decent +44/AVA split EP

Title track is the only song that has even a chance of getting a regular play for me (the +44 song)

 

I like all of DED except for Pretty Little Girl. In my opinion it’s in a class of its own of truly unlistenable Blink songs. I’m not even sure if another song is in that group especially since Travis joined the band.

 

Yeah, but like, how rad is the new album? Pretty sure it’s already above Untitled for me.

I mean, yes on a lot of levels, but people get used to anything. That's just normal to them, like me buying my mom a Groupon for a spa. Our brain activity is probably identical in these respective moments.

As much as I love the acoustic guitar riff, I definitely get what you're saying and actually thought that a lot. Like the way the pick hits the strings aren't always lined up, so it sounds kind of "off". Like they did the first take and then just went with it and didn't bother with a more polished take...

 

Had a marathon workday last week and had OMT on repeat. Lol got through 4 plays in a row. Yeah, it still kicks ass. I hope the tour this summer has an absurd amount of songs from the new album in the setlist. Could see opening with anthem 2, having a sick interlude and then right into anthem 3 being wild.

 

I feel like they'd open up with Anthem 3. Then into Rock Show to pull back in the casual listeners who don't realize blink has a new album out.

 

Opening with "Anthem pt 3" would be so awesome

 

I think it'd be really cool if they opened with Anthem Pt3 and then went straight into Part 2.

 

Then straight it into a cover of Anthem Of Our Dying Day, then Anthem.
