I had a strange bit while dreaming last night where I was watching a video of Taylor Swift being a guest vocalist on AGT or some show like it and she was doing a cover of Turpentine. It was pretty sick. She changed some words around (slide yourself on top of me) and everything, forgot a lot already and I was very disappointed when I woke up realizing it wasn’t real lol. I blame reading this thread last night for the Taylor Swift/blink connection lol.

Blink was my top artist this year on Spotify, but the surprising thing to me is that that was almost completely from the album singles (and a couple of discography revisits). I did all of my album listening with my direct downloads. No idea how my top artist wasn’t Hot Mulligan for Spotify specifically.

I’d still love to see a blink/Alk3 tour someday

Just bring back the 2001 Honda Civic Tour.

    SUM41, ALK3, BLINK

Still the smallest venue I've been lucky enough to see blink in (Worcester Palladium)

  7. It’s almost embarrassing how many times I’ve watched this, especially in high school.

"This year, the classic lineup of blink-182 reunited with a new album, One More Time…, after a lengthy stint with Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba sitting in for DeLonge, who had gone off to extravagant side projects and alien inquisitions. Maybe this is the last time we get an album from these three, who are now grown men with families and traumas and the weight of a life lived as loudly and as honestly as they could. It’s an album that conjures many feelings, at times nostalgic and at others triumphant. It is a celebration, more than anything, of blink-182’s journey and the time it took them to arrive at this place. Mark Hoppus has lived through a cancer scare, Travis Barker nearly lost his life in a plane accident. Tom DeLonge had to leave to find his own path and what it meant to be more than just one of the three pillars of a band that has survived longer than anyone ever imagined possible."

It’s insane how band members have to do damage control these days.

I think the whole blink is cancelling the Brazil show is because someone commented on one of Travis’ social media posts saying something dickish like “I bet you’ll end up cancelling the Brazil show” and Travis responded “Yup fuck it it’s canceled now”.

This is very cool. Surprised it hasn't been posted in here yet.
Seeing footage like this makes me want this reunion/tour/album to be the makings of a new Blinkumentary.

  22. I think someone did post it in here. But it's still cool to watch, so don't feel (too) embarrassed.

DIfferent tours - the Honda Civic Tour date I went to was May 5, 2001 and was 100% SUM, ALK3 and BLINK.

"The full list of opening acts isn't confirmed yet, but the plan is to have two openers in each city. As of now Sum 41 and Alkaline Trio are on the list of openers. The band also has a larger summer tour coming up, with New Found Glory (which is on this year's Warped Tour, too) opening those not-yet-announced dates. The summer outing will coincide with the group's upcoming new album, due June 12 on MCA Records (allstar, Jan. 24).

Here are the dates for the Blink-182 Civic Tour 2001 (Tickets for all shows go on sale through Ticketmaster on April 14):

    April 30, Seattle, Paramount Theater
May 1, San Francisco, The Warfield
May 2, Los Angeles, The Palladium
May 4, New York, Roseland Ballroom
    May 5, Worcester, Mass., Palladium
May 6, Philadelphia, The Electric Factory
    May 7, Washington, D.C., 9:30 Club
    May 9, Chicago, Riveria Theater
    May 10, Atlanta, Center Stage"
