Second play through. They didn’t need to put that Anthem Part 3 outro on the song, but they did, and I will thank them for the rest of my life for it.

Well this aged poorly. Currently on my first listen. Could not contain myself at all. Haaaaaaa. No fucks given. This is amazing so far.

Zane interview had some gold in it, but I’m not a huge fan of his interview style. His excitement led to a bunch of interruptions and acting more like he’s “one of the guys” as opposed to a journalist of sorts.
With that said, props to him for really diving into the mark/Tom feud or lack thereof. That was one of the most authentic parts of the interview.

 

No complaints about the Zane interview at all. Really loved the entire conversation

 

The part where Mark talked about seeing Travis at Universal Studio, 2 weeks from recording, that was what was supposed to be the follow up to Dogs Eating Dogs right? Work interrupted my viewing (how dare they) at that part, so I got a little lost, but assumed that's what they were talking about.

I was so confused by the part where he was talking about Tom quitting the second time because my brain is remembering things backwards. I thought Mark called out Tom a lot in the first breakup and was fairly nice about it the second time. Seems like the opposite based on his interview.

 

I mean he straight up released No It Isn't on Tom's bday lol. But he and Travis both were more blunt the second time

 

The way I remember it is that Tom had a lot of things to say when AvA was getting off the ground so everyone kept pressing Mark and Travis to talk about the break up, but they mainly kept quiet. They did release "No, It Isn't" which was clearly a shot at Tom, but it was quite a while before Mark finally started doing interviews where he was brutally honest. He was more or less actively avoiding talking about blink/Tom.

The second time around, Tom's departure announcement was basically paired with a Rolling Stone article where they blasted him lol

 

Man... Wish my vinyl had shipped already. Cant find the album anywhere.

 

Yeah same. I haven't really been digging much for it online but everyone's reactions are getting me so hyped up. I'm looking forward to hearing it.

 

Am I going to spoil anything if I watch the Zane interview before I listen to the record? Might hold off on listening until tomorrow because it got late..

 

IMO, no you won't spoil anything. No music clips, some talk of the new album, but nothing I'd really call a spoiler. Some descriptions of a few things, but more about the history of the songs.

 

There’s no song clips and they talk about a few tracks, but not enough for it to be considered a spoiler. You’re good!

Maybe i'm very late to the party, but if you search the artist and album you can get the high-res art directly from iTunes uncompressed.

 

Anyone know if there’s a Japanese bonus track or not? I haven’t been able to find a definitive answer.
