When We Were Young is gearing up to be my favorite from the clips we’ve heard. Every aspect of it seems to itch everything I want from this band.

Listening to DWM and damn the harmony on the pre chorus part “eyeing that chance here we go , I got you “ sounds killer

 

It's in a different key, but I think Fell In Love has the same chord progression as the choruses in Dammit, What's My Age Again, Man Overboard, Feeling This, Always, verses in Carousel, and bridge in M+M's

The classic I, V, vi, IV progression

Carousel is D, A, Bm, G
Dammit is C, G, Am, F
What's My Age Again is F#, C#, D#m, B
Man Overboard and Always are G, D, Em, C
Feeling This and M+M's are E, B, C#m, A

Fell In Love is my least favorite so far but it’s by no means “bad”.

it’ll be interesting to hear how it flows on the album given how poppy it is bc TERRIFIED is supposed to be the re-worked BCR song and apparently the only Tom song haha.

 

Song is what it needs to be on a 17 song album. Probably won't be on anyone's top list but it is a fun short song.
