On another listen I think the song would be better without the intro, and I hate to be that guy but I wish it had a bridge. Song kinda just comes and goes

I actually like this new one haha. But i'm also really into The Cure.

 

It's good. 2 plays is enough, and I'll wait for it to land in the context of the album. I'd rather have this than any of the California B-Sides.

Almost could slot into NINE, but a majority of the songs on that album are stronger than this.

Feels like it'll just be one of those blink songs that falls into the ether of "Yeah, cool."

I also love The Cure too, and don't hear any similarities aside from a little in the intro.

Close To Me is one of my all-timers, and I get it with the intro and the claps. Otherwise no other similarities.

I guess that's what they were going for though.

 

For some reason the 2nd verse of this reminds me of Knockout by Lil Wayne lol
