True. But while Zane Lowe may be a great interviewer, I have learned not listen to his opinions on albums and just go in blind. Because if you truly listen to Zane and go in with the expectations he has set, then every album that has ever been released is the greatest album ever made. Every time he talks to someone it is "THIS IS THE BEST THING YOU OR ANYONE ELSE HAS DONE IN THE HISTORY OF MUSIC." Whenever he gives an endorsement, while he may be right from time to time, I'm reminded of the classic Ari Gold quote:

part of his schtick is infinitely hyping whoever he’s talking to. He gets very good and in depth interviews, but he is so positive it gets into hyperbolic territory. not a knock on him, i appreciate his interviews, but their purpose is to make the artist feel comfortable and get great stories.

Would be shocked if the album didn't sound like the last 2 albums Mark/Travis created mixed with the last album Tom created.

 

Fun song, but definitely the weakest so far.

Definitely has NINE vibes. very strong chorus. EDGING was the right lead single IMO. every new song feels since feels like it’s meant to be heard in the sequence of the album vs as a one off release. I am one and done on this one and will do the same with the next one.

on first listen it is pretty quintessential travis production musically, right on par for mark collaborating and writing with other people. Tom went all in to make it rad which feels markedly different than reunion 1. Tom giving a shit will definitely be the secret sauce in this album. lol tom is big on doing “it” all night long on this record.

 

Eh, Fell in Love isn't bad. After hearing 5 songs I can firmly say this won't touch the Untitled album for me but maybe hearing everything in sequence will boost my thoughts.

Just happy the band is in a good place and they're clearing having blast.

This song fucking sucks. Honestly worse than most of the Skiba era for me! But 4/5 ain’t bad so I’m still stoked for the album.

 

I love it! This is def a song my girlfriend will love if that makes sense.

 

I wanted to hold off on listening to Fell In Love, but I was SO sure that I'd just cave and listen to it anyway. The mixed/polarized reactions in here are making me think I can wait now. I'm kind of relieved tbh lol

What's the chances of anyone that pre-ordered the vinyl through blink's site actually getting it release day or a day early? Really want my first experience/ listen to be physical media where I can relax in my chair and just enjoy. Havent looked forward to an album so much in like 7 years. Havent even listened to the singles (except edging and 1 more time) just to be really surprised.

 

Damn, Drake is set debut at #1 with 420k this week. He's gonna have to take a nosedive next and/or Blink's gonna have to do massive numbers to get that top slot.

I havent had my coffee yet, just realized that Blink's debut on the chart will be 2 weeks after Drake, not 1. So they can definitely beat him. But Bad Bunny, man that's gonna be tough. Especially is Bad Bunny is going to do physical sales too.
